Living in Valdosta, I have eaten here several times and recommend it to anyone that asks. I usually stick to the chicken dinner or pulled pork, but one of the specials listed caught my eye. "Pickle Chick"!!! Two of my favorite things combined together.....dill pickles and chicken sandwich. So, I went out on a limb and ordered it. Best decision I ever made!! The food and service is always wonderful here. But seriously Woodstack, that sandwich was the BEST chicken sandwich, or just about any sandwich, that I have ever eaten. It needs to be a permanent menu item!!! Thanks for the great food and service!!! See ya next time!
If you're in Valdosta, any Manwell DeCoudres restaurant group establishment is the answer to where you should eat! I play music all over the southeast region, and always enjoy dining at their restaurants whenever I'm in the area. As if the regular menu doesn't make choosing hard enough, they have daily specials. Food is always fresh! Lots of flavor and creativity!
Great local BBQ joint. Try the pimento as an appetizer and you won't be disappointed. Nice bar area good atmosphere. My favorite BBQ in this area.
We got an assortment of items to go. You could really taste the smoke in the meats, which may not be for everyone. I loved the brisket and pulled pork. The full fried okra was also a nice change from traditional cut okra. The mac and cheese as well as the beans were good. They also have burgers and a full menu of other items to try. The one plus over the BBQ competition down the road is the size of the sides, they are almost double! We will defiantly be back again.
Fried picklew for appetizer was amazing. HUGE mound of fried pickles. Could have eaten that alone for the meal.
Highly highly recommend the Brisket French Dip Sandwich. So good!
I went here for one reason alone and that was because they serve burnt ends. Not sure what burnt ends are? The best description I can give you that it is the bacon of the beef world. I also had some of their St. Louis spare ribs. Both meats were very tender and had an excellent smoked flavor. My one side was brussel sprouts with bourbon honey glaze and the other was the mac and cheese. The brussel sprouts were a little on the sweet side and the mac and cheese was nothing special. They have a nice happy hour from 3:00 to 7:00 though. Our server did a great job and the pricing was lower than some other barbecue places but I would say that is because portions were slightly smaller. There's plenty of other things on the menu I'd like to try, so I'll be going back here next time I can. Maybe I'll see you there.
We always enjoy Woodstack when visiting Valdosta. Everything we've tried is delicious. Excellent BBQ, sides, and cocktails! The fried green tomato appetizer is tasty and great to share. Definitely try the burnt ends! We're looking forward to another location opening in Thomasville!
We got the pitmaster from platter which was really good. We all loved the Mac n cheese and onion rings. Great service and food came out quick but was definitely loud and hard to hear but they do have outdoor seating
We had a great meal on the outdoor dining area today with our puppy Conor. Brisket French dip was the pick! Thank you Leisa.
I have been to Smokin’ Pig, and now, Woodstack; I have to say, Woodstack gets my vote, hands down! All in all, just a better experience all the way around. Better service, better food, and better atmosphere for a comfortable dining experience.
Me and my family went here for the first time at 2:30 last Saturday. BEST EXPERIENCE EVER! There was literally maybe 3 other tables occupied and our server (I can't remember his name) was absolutely fantastic!! Very knowledgeable about the menu and super helpful. The food was to die for. I got the sandwich that has the burnt ends and queso. Omg. And the Brussel sprouts!!!???!! I've never had a better Brussel sprout in my life. I can't wait to go back.
