I came here with my sister, who is plant based. They were very accommodating and kind. The food though was just average. I ordered the special fish of the day, which was salmon and it was cooked quite well, but nothing really stood out from the plate. One starter was really good and the other was quite bland. The service was good. I’ve been here a few years ago and feel the menu and service were better.

Great food. Good atmosphere. Ok service. Our waiter wasn't the best, but others there were great. So I'm not going to subtract for that, he was probably just having a bad day.
The selection of food is good. They have some things on the menu that are really hard to find, like bone marrow.
I also had the chicken salad, it was really good and filling. It even had granola on it, which I would never think of putting on a salad, and have never had on a salad before. It worked very well, and tied all the flavors together.

We had a very disappointing experience today for a late lunch at your restaurant. We have been to Vail many times and dined at numerous restaurants, and this was by far the biggest let down.
Our server Emily/table 104 was inattentive and very passive aggressive. We waited an extremely long time-near an hour from the time we arrived to get our main course.
One member of our party ordered steak and was not given a steak knife. Despite asking for one, after waiting 5 minutes, he finally got up to get one himself.
Sadly one member of our party was given the incorrect entree, a pâté, when she had ordered a tartar. The rest of us were eating for more than 10 minutes and she was left waiting. Our server failed to offer an apology or any empathy.
When the bill came Emily had not comped her entree. I had to ask for the bill to be adjusted.
In addition, the onion rings were very spicy and I was unable to eat them. The menu did not specify they were spicy and Emily failed to inform us of this. Again, no apology or accountability.
All of your servers seemed very somber/like they do not enjoy their work or interacting with customers. 🥲

We started off with warm pimento cheese with bacon jam and pickled onion and celery. It was delightful! Probably one of the best spreads I’ve ever eaten. For our main course we had the waygu steak and the rotisserie chicken at our server’s recommendation. The steak was a bit tough for such a nice cut of beef but it did pair well with the fingerling potatoes, summer peaches and smoked tomato hollandaise however the rotisserie chicken was an excellent choice. The smoked pimento butter really sets this dish off! The chicken is on a bed of grits and topped with grilled zucchini and butter milk crunches! We finished our meal off with the Colorado mess, which is an Italian meringue with berries, rhubarb jam, brown sugar crumbles and strawberry sorbet. The dessert was an amazing end to a wonderful meal. We will more than likely come back to this restaurant as it is the best restaurant we’ve eaten at in Vail so far. I would have given 5 stars but I’ve had a better steak for way less money.

Incredible food! Truly an experience of artistic chef mastery. Highly recommend the roasted swordfish and the smoked beef rib starter. Also the apple hand pie is out of this world!

We came on a Sunday night during dinner without reservations. The restaurant was full, but the bar has its own wait-list so we put our name down. There was only one party waiting ahead of us, and we were able to order drinks while we waited nearby. The staff behind the bar are all extremely friendly and make you feel really welcome.
For food we ordered Smoked Angus Short Rib, Wood Roasted Bone Marrow, and Ahi Tuna Crudo. The short rib was my least favorite dish. It was huge and pretty fatty. It tasted fine for a few bites, but then it became too much so I think it would be better if it came in a smaller size. The bone marrow and tuna crudo were both amazing; I can't pick which one I liked more.
Overall we had a great experience even though it was quite expensive, but that seems to be normal for the area.

Great all around restaurant with good music, good food, and good service. A nice cross between gourmet dining in a casual setting. Recommend the Ahi Tuna Crudo, bone marrow and pâté. Short ribs were good but not as good as the previously mentioned.

Have lunch here for two straight days. Food is so good. I didn’t expect to have such delicious and creative food and such nice dining experience in a ski resort. Mountain standard is now one of the best American cuisine I ever had, if not the best.
