I come to the area on business from DC and absolutely love this place. No recorking fee (so bring the bottle to the hotel if you don't finish), an excellent and well-chosen selection of wines by the glass and an even larger selection by the bottle, delicious food, and very knowledgeable staff. Their recommendations are on point. Sit outside or inside and enjoy your evening!
We have visited Wine Bistro twice. Outstanding servic, food and great wine selections. The prices were amazing Highly recommend you give it a try and ask to sit outside. Everything about the place is great!

A favorite. Went to The Wine Bistro on Lane Avenur tonight for the second time. We were very happy the first time very impressed tonight. We did not make reservations and found the restaurant very busy. The staff was very helpful and helped us find a seat at the bar while waiting for a table. Jeff, the bartender was very knowledgeable about our wine selection and we were quite pleased with our wine, a petit verdot Casalle de Giglio. After a very short time Akishia approached us and helped us to a table, moving our drinks and appetizer for us. Our waiter, Bobby, was prompt and knowledgeable about the items on the menu. All our selections were wonderful, the braised short ribs were perfect, the salad was marvelous. My wife and I shared a salad, the strawberry-pistachio was excellent. We also shared a dessert, the brandied cherries over vanilla bean ice cream was superb. Our guests loved the shrimp and lobster fettucine as well as the crab cakes. All in all, a superb repast with very accomodating, polite, and knowledgeable staff. This was another excellent experience at The Wine Bistro on Lane Avenue. We are looing forward to the opening of another facility in Clintonville very soon, we hope.
Love the Atmosphere. Went here for appetizers and a drink! Had an absolute blast. Our server was fantastic and she took great care of us. I had the scallops, and they were absolutely delicious. I will be back very soon!
Great experience!. My fiance and I had a wonderful experience at Wine Bistro last night! We came in to take advantage of the 'no corkage fee' night -- and we were thoroughly impressed with the service, food and wine. We didn't know exactly which wine to choose, but the bartender was a great help. He actually brought us 8 different bottles of wine to choose from and gave us a detailed description of each. The wine that we ended up choosing was perfect - we both enjoyed it very much. We also had a delicious meal - small cheese board, meatball pizza and the crabcake appetizer. I would highly recommend Wine Bistro!
Fantastic service, fantastic wine and amazing food. The veal meatball is a MUST have...so tasty I actually crave it. The meatball is nicely browned, served with house made marinara which is sweet with a touch of spice and hot, gooey, melted mozzarella served in a crock. Try this and you will not be disappointed!
Great atmosphere and energy! The wine, service and food were delightful: separately and combined... a fantastic place for a romantic getaway, a professional conversion and a gathering place for friend/family!
Great flatbread pizza. My wife and I had a hankering for flat bread pizza. We hadn't been to the Wine Bistro on Lane Ave and thought we'd give it a try.
We were seated right away on a Thursday night at 8:30 (they were doing a brisk business - the rest of the room was full). The atmosphere was fun and lively and our waiter was friendly, professional and knowledgeable. Since we hadn't been there before he explained how things worked (bottles of wines at state minimum + an $8 corking fee. Glasses are priced as is). There were 9 different flatbreads to choose from plus you can get half with either soup or salad. My wife choose the winery salad with the wild mushroom flatbread. I got the tomato basil soup and the grilled chicken pesto flatbread. Everything was fantastic!
Ignore the negative - this place is outstanding!. I've been to the Wine Bistro (both the original in Worthington and the new location in UA) many times, and every time they exceed my expectations! The waitstaff are always courteous and prompt, the food is obviously prepared fresh (not frozen like one reviewer claims), and the wine selection is huge!
My personal favorite is the Juliette Flatbread (caramelized pears and onions with brie), and the Pot de Creme is a chocoholics must-have!
My only negative critique of the UA location is the amount of parking available, but you can legally park on one the the adjacent streets if you don't mind a short walk.
This is by far one of my favorite restaurants, and I can't wait to go again!
Good to Very Good Food - Excellent Ambiance - Good to Very Good Service. We've visited the Wine Bistro on Lane twice so far. Over all we've been pleased with our experiences. We've tried three of the flat breads. One of our crusts had sections that were somewhat hard and difficult to cut even with a knife. The other crusts were better with no hard areas. The Winery salad was excellent and I'll definitely order that again. The rustic tomato basil bisque was outstanding. The small cheese board was delicious and a great value too. Monday and Tuesday they waive the $8 corkage fee for full bottles of wine. Reservations recommended especially on weekends. Be sure to check out their semi-private room while you're there. It seats about 15 people - it's gorgeous!
Hosted a baby shower for my daughter at Wine Bistro. Food, service and atmosphere perfect. The staff members were helpful and welcoming and everyone enjoyed the afternoon. I would highly recommend.

Decided to try The Wine Bistro for a birthday meal, and we had an amazing experience! We tried a flight of reds and whites and loved them all! We split a braised veal meatball based on another Google review, and it was delicious as advertised! I had the spaghetti pesto with chicken and literally could not stop eating until my plate was clean! The shrimp and risotto met the same fate as both entrees were scrumptious! We split the key lime pie for dessert which was absolutely delectable and a refreshing finish to the meal! Travis was our server and was attentive to our every need. Can’t wait to go back and try more items from their menu!
Amazing and expansive wine selection. Knowledgeable, patient, and friendly staff. Every dish we ordered was delicious, from the cheese platter, to the flatbread, to four different entrees. Even the salad was flavorful. The ambiance is beautiful. Small and intimate setting. Highly recommend.
We doordashed an order for our business lunch today, and frankly didn't have super high expectations. We were blown away, every single entree was perfect, all parties very happy. I got the chicken and don't remember the last time I had a piece of chicken breast so perfectly not-overcooked, juicy, could cut it with my fork. Get the baked brie to share. Whoever the chef was today knows their business.
We dined as a large group, 10 +, the staff was friendly and accommodating with our request. Being able to pick you wine from the shelf when buying bottles is unique, as is the minimum mark up over retail for the wine as apposed to some restaurants 200% or more mark up. Whether you have a small or large group, give them a try for your night out.
