I would give MJ Steakhouse 20 stars if I could😍 this is how a dining experience should be. Phenomenal food, service and drinks from start to finish. The atmosphere is so chill and it's so beautiful inside.
Sat at the bar and was greeted right away by Kyle who was friendly and made a delicious margarita!! Ordered some apps, they came out hot and so freaking good. I felt comfortable there and we were never left hanging. Shirley, another bar tender came right up with the next round of drinks and some hot towels with lemons for our hands!! That's just going the extra mile. She was so awesome and so sweet. Next thing I know I'm joking around with the third bar tender Brett who was also super cool.
My dinner was amazing and we had a perfect night here. We spent $450 (2 people) in about 2 or so hours and it was well spent 🙌🏻 can't wait to go back!!
In general, it was a great experience. The host was great and took us to our table immediately as that happened. The waiter welcomed us with champagne as a gift to my wife for her birthday 🎂 with also a card signed by the staff. Food was amazing as expected, great, and delicious, from presentation, temperature and flavors were spotless.... there's nothing wrong I can say to this place... great job !!!

SERVICE:
My husband made a reservation for our son's 17th birthday.
From the minute we checked in, the whole hostess desk wished my son a happy birthday. They sat us and handed him a birthday card, signed by all the staff. The waitress( Sarah) also wished him a happy birthday as soon as she arrived at the table, but then she noticed she hadn't signed his birthday card and made sure to add her name. What a nice touch if customer service. I was very impressed.
FOOD:
The only thing better than the service was the food.
We started with the garlic bread. I can't even describe the magic that is the garlic bread. 🤤 We split the MVP, which was a nice option. It was 4 different cuts of meat. Large portions. The ribeye was my personal favorite. It melts in your mouth. We did the mac & cheese and mashed trio(carb fans). All fantastic options. For dessert, we went with the baked Alaska per Sarah's suggestion. She was correct. It was simple yet flavorful.
ATMOSPHERE/PRICE:
we are no stranger to high-end steakhouses. It is a treat we always do for our children on their birthdays. The MJ steakhouse was the most reasonable priced dinner we have had yet. Throw in how good the food and service are, and I would say this place is perfect. The atmosphere was beautiful. I love all the inspiring quotes on the walls. The tables and lighting were classy.

Love MJ 23 Sports Cafe (I actually like it better than the steakhouse). Went for quick dinner during a recent stay at Mohegan. We started with the garlic parm wings. I got the smash burger and my hubby got the pastrami. Everything was awesome including the service.
Wow! 10/10 one of the best restaurants in CT. We had the legendary steak flight which had a generous sampling of 3 different steaks; wagyu, Kansas 30 year aged & tomahawk, plus 2 kinds of sausage, shrimp and lobster tail. We had the addition of the mashed potato trio which was absolutely delicious. Above and beyond expectations and more than worth the price for 4 people to share
I didn't get the servers name but he kindly sang me happy birthday as an added bonus with our baked Alaska desert. Truly a one of a kind experience!
This was the best steak my boyfriend and I have ever had! Adrienne was our waitress and she was absolutely lovely! She was so warm and welcoming and very helpful with recommendations for drinks! The drinks were good, the bread was nice, the sides were good but I had the 10 oz. Filet mignon with truffle Parmesan on top and it was just so flavorful and filling I would go back just for that! I was there for my birthday they gave me a card everyone signed which was so nice and they gave me dessert which was a brownie and it was very rich and decadent. I was so full but I wanted to try the crème brûlée so I got it to go and it was so delicious!! I could only imagine how it would’ve tasted in the restaurant. I will definitely come back!
I’d give this place ten stars if I could. Here at the Mohegan Sun Casino for a work conference. Decided to stop in for dinner, unbelievable!!! Was alone so I sat at the bar. No request was too big for the staff. Worth every penny. MJ is the 🐐

Very nice family restaurant. I really enjoyed my meal , the food was great and the atmosphere was very relaxing. But with everything else in today's world nothing is A one upon my friend and I entering the restaurant we was greeted by the host , told her we had reservations & name , She looked up the name and said she couldn't find it, I then showed her the reservation on my phone and she still said she couldn't find it because maybe she was spelling the name wrong, but any ways come on, she proceeds to take my friend and I to a table we sit down a nice young man came over took our drink order as soon as the young man walked away here come the same hostess explaining to us that she has a very big party coming in and she need us to move.... Okay after all that you just took us through to even get a table that we reserved you have the never to come back and ask us to move, needles to say I was very upset why could she not find the reservation and place us at the table we reserved. How dear you treat or look down on people you work with the public it was Juneteenth weekend and your working in a black owned business shame on you and if you only like certain groups of people maybe you should reevaluate your career I drove from upstate New York to visit and to be treated like we was by the hostess sucked.. 😥😥😥 6/18/23 7:00,pm

One of the top food experiences I have had in the past 3 years. Incredible attention to detail, perfect presentations and award winning taste. Complete decadence in my opinion and staff couldn't have been more on point. Strong understanding of dishes and ability to facilitate a perfect dinner.
Can't wait to go back. The Steak 🥩 Flight is just out of this world. The mash potatoe trio is it's own meal..... And the Mac and cheese is rich and creamy. Also had the carrot cake.
