Jakers

I can't find anything wrong with this place. Reminds me of The Keg in Washington state, but better quality & more affordable. Our steak & prime rib dinner, with lobster bisque & Caesar, & fried bread rolls, was only $70. At The Keg, the bill would be over $100. Oh, try the chocolate cake, for breast cancer research, in honor of a beloved manager. It's so chocolatey with extra flakes of shaved chocolate. PS. You have to specifically ask for the creamy or straight horseradish with your prime rib.

I think this place is adequately priced for the food. It's better than your chain restaurants steaks by far! I will say I was kinda annoyed with the bartender the past few times. They seem too concerned with washing glasses and leaving their slosh bucket full of chemicals 6 inches from your food. But hey, kids. However, if you wanna sell those 15 dollar martini's, maybe get the slosh bucket out of the way, build the cocktail, and pour with a smile. ;-)

We took a group into Jakers for Birthday dinner and had the worst food and service ever. We had made a reservation and when we arrived our group was divided into 2 tables after we were told we wouldn't have to. When we finally got to order drinks, 3 of them came out wrong and we still got charged for them plus the remakes. The steak was decent but the asparagus 3 of us had was left over from 6 months ago and had been recooked numerous times. Then the fun part, it took over 45 minutes to get our checks, that after explaining twice how they were to be split, still weren't right. We had been there over 3 hours at this point and just paid as we were already late for other reservations. I have tried to call the restaurant and no return call. A very disappointing experience. We used to enjoy Jakers but something has changed and I do not recommend ever going there.

They tried to tell us that there was no more Thanksgiving dinner left for us when we had a reservation for dinner. How do you run out of Thanksgiving dinner on Thanksgiving? You should over plan, overcook and if anything is left over send it home with employees for FREE that had to work that night. We also saw a woman who had prepaid her take out dinner be turned away without any food! How do you go home empty handed with no Thanksgiving dinner to your hungry expectant family. Wow I must say that there is ALWAYS some kind of problem when we go to Jakers in Twin. But when we go in Boise the food and service is spectacular. So we will continue to go there. Say, has anyone else noticed that they will only bring you ONE dinner roll. No matter when or who you ask for another roll, they ALWAYS tell you they are in the oven, and they NEVER EVER seem to bring you one? Well here's a secret... in Boise you can have more than one. SMH - I know Jakers thinks they are the cream, and people in Twin like to be see there... But I'm not sure why?
