i grew up on the west coast and grew up eating sushi yet in the raw is some of the best fish i’ve ever had in my entire life. the service was the best and my waitress was one of the nicest human beings on this planet.
Great place. I had the spicy roll combo and tuna sashimi. The sashimi was firm, fresh, and flavorful. The atmosphere was fun and lively which might be difficult if you are on a date and want to be able to converse.
Though the food was delicious, we felt the presentation lacked creativity. Again, everything tasted wonderful though. It's rather expensive, so we won't be regulars, but it was nice for a special occasion.
The Peoria location has really good service. It is one of my top three favorite restaurants in Tulsa. The Lomi salad and Some Like it Hot are the best!
It's good, but pricey. Food quality 4/5 stars (for the Tulsa area)
Service 3/5 stars
Atmosphere 4/5 stars
Price 2/5 stars (It is expensive when compared to some other locations, although the quality difference may prompt you to choose here instead)
Selection of sushi options 4/5 stars
Typical experience when eating here, typically 3/5 stars
I do think it is a pretty good option for Sushi in Tulsa. They have a decent variety of sushi among other items. It will do the trick if you need a sushi fix.
Best sushi handsdown. My favorite place to take my girlfriend out for drinks and some good sushi!
First Sushi Ever. My favorite rolls are the Nirvana, Keaton, Spicy Yellowtail. Love the fish tacos and ITR salad!
We really like the Volcano Roll and enjoy sitting outside at night. It is a bit overpriced, but after going to Sushi Alley where everything cost 30% more and was pitifully small/inadequate, it seems like a deal.
Loved it. Decided to try this place out while in town over Christmas, was not disappointed.
The Good:
The atmosphere. This place has a cool, urban/college vibe to it. Very fun.
The service. Friendly and relatively quick for how crowded it was.
The food! The sushi was so so good. I got the spider roll and another, I think it was called the OMG? They were both delicious, with tons of flavor. My boyfriend got 3 other ones, don't recall which, but he was very pleased. We also split a small bottle of sake, which was a first for both of us, and it was very good.
The Bad:
The size. It's a pretty small place once you get in, and it gets crowded to the point that it's hard to get out of your chair. We were sitting at the bar and people, employees mostly, had to keep trying to squeeze between our chairs and the tables behind us.
The hours. I don't know if it was because of the time of year, but we had gone up here for lunch (around 1 I think). There were people eating and the hostess greeted us with "we're closed, you can come back at 5".
The Ugly:
The price. My god! Luckily we had a gift certificate or else this place would have bankrupted us. I think the bill was nearly $60 dollars!
Sushi. Pass the wasabi!
Can't go wrong.
I am addicted to the Dunwell roll and half ITR salad. The one on Brookside has much better scenery and atmosphere than the one on Sheridan.
The sushi & Miso soup are Amazing! Drinks are very tasty as well! Servers here are always very kind & occasionally they have live music outside! Both outdoor & indoor seating! I’ve taken shots with the staff on a closing night (highly recommend the secret PJ shot), and my only complaint is sometimes it can be busy on a weekend & hard to get a seat, But regardless if they are busy or not; they will treat you right & serve you as quick as they can!
I’m giving this place a 4 star review because the sushi is overpriced for the lack of presentation. We waited around 30-45 min for basic sushi to come out. It was quite disappointing. But aside from that the calamari was delicious. I also enjoyed the atmosphere of this place. The wait staff was very accommodating. I’m not sure if I’ll return specifically because of the price for the product.
If you have ever had amazing sushi, this is by far one of the best places. Everything for everyone, whether you enjoy fish/eel/tempura or not. Awesome people, quick service. Even better food because let's face it, the food is the star of the show. If for some reason you don't like it I believe you might be crazy!
Food was great, service was quick and excellent, easy in and out location with parking in the rear, nicely done interior and exterior seating and bars.
Always yummy, great atmosphere. Had the California roll..forgot to take a picture. The edamamees were good and the wine was excellent. Service always on point. 🌟
My friend was playing music on the back patio, and that was good. The food was good, but it did take staff a little while to acknowledge me being there, however after that they provided good service.
Had an amazing Mother's Day with my mom there! Everything was top notch
This is my favorite sushi restaurant in Tulsa.. hands down! I worked here for four years throughout high school and college. Great food, great staff, great ambiance. The fish is always fresh and ITR never disappoints with making a delicious cocktail. Highly recommend. Cheers!
The food is as expected The salad was a bit warm but not horrible Getting our drinks took quite a while even though we were seated right next to the service area of the bar
Services was a little slower than anticipated as they were not as busy at the time we went. I actually thought she forgot about us after bringing us drinks as it took about 10 minutes for her to come back and get our order. The food came out in a timely manner and was perfect! Overall a happy experience. Try the Volcano Roll! Perfection!
