Ted's Cafe Escondido

Love this place me and the boyfriend eat here at least 2 times a week. Love the cheese and salsa along with the tortillas. I always get the chimichonga and u love it he normally gets the chicken burrito. The food always comes out hot and taste amazing. The wait staff is always nice and on point, never need to ask for refills on drinks becuase they never let it go empty. Never leave hungry sometimes I eat way to much but that is what happens when you eat amazing food. Can't wait to go back.. now I am like I want thsi for dinner.

I'm only dropping a star off because it was uncomfortably cold in the restaurant and I am usually the last person to get cold. The food was amazing! I got a fajita chicken chimichanga and my gf got enchiladas. It was all delicious! Our server Emory was amazing and I'll ask to sit in her section again next time!

OMG what a great lunch. I usually order the stuffed avocado but today I ordered the Burrito dinner. Our server Eddie was one of the best people we have had in a long time. Eddie was courteous, attentive without being over bearing knowledgeable and oh so friendly, if he isn't training other servers he should be. My food was out fast hot and so so yummy. We eat here often but Eddie made this time one of the best ever.

11/11/22 Overall a pleasant dining experience. The food we chose was good, service was excellent, atmosphere was nice, price was reasonable. Some negatives - music loud, temperature was chilly (cold day in November), seats hard. We had spinach enchiladas and the vegetable was overcooked and dressed with vinegar, crema was watery, chicken taco had an odd tomato dressing. Refried beans were boring. Good Mexican rice, tasty salsa, great sopapillas. We were impressed with temperature of food and speed of service and quantity of food. Free house made flour tortillas, corn tortilla chips, salsa (hot or mild), queso and sopapillas with honey. We'll be back to try other dishes. 11/29/22 Chicken Taco Salad is tasty - rice on bottom, lots of tasty chicken, topped with shredded lettuce and chopped tomatoes. (I would have preferred they leave off the rice and fill with lettuce.) Used the mild salsa for dressing.

This was not our first time to dine at Ted's. My wife and I have found both the Tulsa and Edmond locations to be very nice. We were seated promptly and chips and salsa arrived quickly with our water. The young man waiting on us was very kind and helpful, but not to the extent where he was a bother. We had plenty of chips and salsa. I ordered the Mexican flag enchiladas with refried beans and rice. My wife had the shrimp tacos with cilantro rice and refried beans. The food was hot, very tasty and is consistently good! We got our free sopapilias with honey for desert. Very nice experience. With a nice tip we spent $34.
