So remarkably tasty and fast.
Went on lunch on a Thursday (I’ll admit their hours can be tricky) and had a chicken empanada and a spinach/feta empanada which were both really top-tier Indian flavors with the flakiest of empanada crusts.
Highly recommend. Reasonably priced and seems they have a great happy hour schedule/option if that’s up your alley.
Definitely worth the stop.
Had 2 specials with paneer, samosa, and chicken dosa’s. Lentil curry was a little watery but the rice was very good. Where it shines is the sauces; loved the mint and cilantro sauces. Pity more people aren’t at this place and we were the only ones eating in the restaurant at the time.
Not much to say, It's just delicious and if you are around, you must try this place.
Best craft empanadas I've ever had. My favorite the spinach and feta cheese! Also their cilantro souce is great!
I got the Bomba combo. I got the spinach and mushroom empanada. However, I didn't taste any mushrooms only spinach.
The cilantro sauce personally wasn't my favorite. The taste seemed a little off and sour.
The jicama salad was very fresh and tasty as we're the lentils.
The staff is very friendly and explained the menu and gave recommendations.
This was my first time here. As soon as we walked in the aromas totally convinced me I was about to have the yummiest meal ever! Right away you'll notice the bright yellow and the beautiful mural behind the register so this place just takes all your senses for a ride.
I tried the Bombo combo with a Fiesta empanada, was absolutely delicious! My friend had the Pork empanada and it was a little spicy but also very tasty:) Really liked the rice A LOT and the lentils were yummy too! We got the cilantro lime sauce and hibiscus tea which of course were both really good too. Will definitely be back because they have about 5 other empanada flavors and different sides and salsas to try!
PS - Ordering is similar to Chipotle/Subway's style of ordering. They have the cutest outdoor seating, too.
Paneer empanada with mint sauce was AMAZING! Also loved the unsweetened chai tea. Highly recommended.
we ordered these empanadas for takeout, and were so happy we did! the pastry dough was so delicious and flakey, and each flavor we got was great. they have lots of veggie and non-veggie options, making it perfect for meat eaters and vegetarians alike! they also had tons of sauce options to choose from, so it was fun to try a lot of different flavors. would definitely recommend, and can't wait to try more of what they have to offer!
Great empanadas! Curried lentils are also delicious as a side & must try the cilantro sauce.
I love it here! The empanadas are filled with flavor and always satisfying.
My favorites in order:
1. Pork
2. Chicken
3. Breakfast chorizo
4. Breakfast ham and cheese
They all pair nicely with their green sauce (Don’t remember what it’s called).
Their chicken masala, also very delicious with their rice and black beans.
I don’t think I’ve ever disliked anything I’ve tried on their menu.
I love this place! While I don't make it in as often as I should, I always enjoy it when I do. The Indian-Latin fusion combination is unique and delicious. In summary, a great spot for quick lunch in the heart of downtown Tucson. Check it out next time you're downtown!
