Kon Tiki

The food is outstanding..we got the sampler platter for an app the ribs fell off the bone and the coconut shrimp were For mains we ordered one of their Steak Terriyaki and the Chicken Katsu and waffle. Everything was amazing..our waiter was attentive, knowledgeable and friendly. He made sure we were enjoying the meal and drinks and was always on top of it when we needed anything. The Scorpion drink for 2 was for me, myself and I and we all enjoyed it 🤣

What fun! The luau platter was a hit. I really needed nothing more. The 3 sauces were all good. Serves 2. The Mau Nui chicken was good, veggies way uncooked. Need to fix that. Virgin Pina Colada very good. Service was ok. No one else was there so we shouldn't have had to wait for check etc etc. Atmosphere is so fun. I can't wait to bring guests and maybe come back for happy hour specials. So if not in a hurry this is really a fun place. I'd give 6 stars for atmosphere.

I have been going to Kon Tiki for 57 yrs. I loved its atmisphere as a child and still love it as an old lady. I have gone for Anniversaries and Birthdays and even entertained there as a Hula Girl in the day. Love the Lua Plate with a taste of everything. I remember when there was real running water under the bridge as you enter and when they use to have a 5 oclock Happy Hour with free horsdouvers. Though some of those things have been lost its still a great Aloha atmosphere and great food.

We loved the venue. It's very clean, dark, Polynesian theme was very cozy. Food was served promptly. The fry was wonderful. Not greasy is always a plus! We didn't care for the filling in the crab puffs but others will think it great. Personally we felt it was a little runny and the flavor more cream than we are used to. The pain killer cocktail was amazing! Definitely a try when you go.

On a Friday evening it was very busy. Standing room only. There were 5 of us, but they were still able to seat us fairly quickly. I had a half rack of ribs. Ordering ribs can be a gamble, because you never know how the sauce will be. The rib sauce at KonTiki was probably the best sauce I've ever had. I'm definitely getting that again. My sisters got the sampler plate. It's actually listed as a 2 person appetizer. But it's a good size meal for one person. Also very good. One odd thing. The group in the private room toward the back closed the curtains after their meal to take some group pictures. The bartender noticed and stormed over to the room saying loudly, Why are these shut?, as she whipped the curtains open. Seemed a little rude and unnecessary. The group carried on with their photos seemingly unscathed. Other than that, the visit to KonTiki was very enjoyable. Of course we'll be back again.

The front door is a portal into another universe. I had no idea I would be crossing the pacific and ending up in Kon Tiki. What a fun environment. The vibes here are exquisite. The drinks are super fun… I recommend the Lava Lava, Hawaii five-0, the water, they put cherries in the coke, kontiki special, tortuga, and so much more. The Hawaii Five-oh transported my cousin into sunscreen (banana boat). When my acquaintance bit into the calamari, it took them to Avalon, NJ on the Princeton patio on a pleasant, light summer night. So yeah come here it’s super fun. I recommend the drinks more than the food but it’s still super fun!!

This place is so good recommend highly. Love the drinks menu they have a freshness taste to their mixed drinks not heavy with syrup. Food portions are worth the prices. Flavors to their BBQ ribs is so good with hint of sweetness. The meat just falls off the bone. Below is picture of Scorpion favored blue for 2 and their Hawaiian nachos. The nachos are a must to try. Great atmosphere and friendly staff. Can't wait to go back 👍
