I remember going to Lucky's locations as a kid and this one on Campbell at least two or three times after school weekly. Haven't been there in a while the last 3 years. I'm glad we went back, my burger , rings & steak fingers we're great -just like I remembered
UPDATE......Decided the other day to give them another shot. BIG MISTAKE......My GF and I were trying to place an order on fri or Saturday and the kid taking the order was extremely rude. We wanted a family sized half chicken finger half shrimp. He repeated it back to me saying steak fingers. I said no,half chicken fingers half shrimp. He said ok,all steak fingers? 🤬 At this point I'm getting aggravated. He finally said ok,half chicken fingers ,half shrimp. I said yes! Thank u! Then he says and one family size steak fingers? I said NOOOOO! I never even mentioned a steak finger. Ever. I dont like those. Finally I just hung up. Decided to call back and try again because we really wanted your food. I called back and asked for a manager. Was told manager was on vacation for 2 weeks. I explained the confusion and asked for a discount. I was laughed at and told that's not possible. That only aggravated me more. Needless to say,we aren't happy and are very disappointed. We are loyal customers of 20 yrs and never imagined we'd be so embarrassed and treated so rudely.
The last 2 times I've been disappointed, and I've been here at least 30 times in the past 15 years. The toast has been burned, and the fries portion has drastically dropped in the Family size option. I let it go and figured it was a mistake. I went again today and got the pop size chicken finger meal. Fries were soggy, toast was burned, and the chicken had no taste. I had to add salt and paprika. Sadly I may not be going back.
FEB 2022....tried again and was pleased. The chicken fingers were great no soggy fries and no burnt toast. We got the family size and had zero complaints. The owner reached out to me about my previous negative reviews and wasn't happy. But I have an opinion and I'll voice it. Just like now I can see the improvements he's made and I will be going back for more 👍👍
One of my brothers favorite places. It's ok. Lots of fried food. Steak fingers were good not overly breaded and tender. My brother lived his shrimp. A Tucson original.
Anybody that is in Tucson and hasn't eaten at Lucky Wishbone is missing a lot of hometown cooking as I would put it. The fish sandwich is still a favorite but the Cole slaw is consistently great. Try the garlic toast , enjoy the simple tastes.
It's a given that the food is unique and delicious, decade upon decade. Every time we are in town there will be a Mom and Pop size order for Shrimp, Steak Fingers and Onion Rings. Dip those in the sauce and WOW. The best of the best.
Now for the most important part. Tamara was our Order Taker, Cashier and Server. There is none finer. I complimented her for the smile, energy, efficiency and knowledge. She's at the top of her game, an asset that employers dream of. Tamara said she wants to be the example that all the other staff follow. She's that and more.
Being from the northern tundra, I had never heard of this place, but I always like to try something new. We stopped in, and ordered an 8 piece sampler pack. 3 shrimp, 3 chicken strip, and 2 steak strips. The chicken and shrimp were pretty good, the steak a bit chewy, but tasty. The fries were great. I was hoping to be hungry enough to try a slice of cheesecake for desert, but wasn't, but they looked really good.
The lady cooking and serving was very friendly, and commented about how much she enjoyed working there, and it showed. The service was fast and friendly.
Love lucky wishbone. My kinda place. a bunch of perfectly fried shrimp and a bunch of delicious fries in one box. The toast is awesome. Go In at least a couple times every time I'm in Tucson. NEED a location in show low... it would do unbelievably great.
I have been to several Lucky Wishbones in Tucson. I enjoyed my meal from this location. I was starving and wanted something quick. It was super busy when we walked in. The kiosk was not very operator friendly. So the lady/manager was very nice and friendly but definitely overworked. She still remained calm, cool, and collected. Giving everyone that quality service as if they were the only people in line. I will continue to go there when I need my chicken wing fix.
Other than the traffic getting in and out of this location being a pain, this location is great. Order online and pick up to save time.
Wow. Great fried chicken, that is perfect. Chicken was very moist and flavorful. They don't make it until you order it. Steaming from fryer. Short wait, but you taste it in the final product. Had coleslaw that was OK but not on par with Chicken.
