Pat's Drive In

My wife and I enjoyed Pat's for decades but after living in Europe for many years, some reviews made us a bit cautious upon returning so we each had a "test dog" before making a full order. We agreed they were as good as ever and ordered six more. The three staff people we interacted with were all friendly and cheerful, we will gladly return, and from our visit in mid-October 2023 it is my conclusion that rumors of Pat's demise are greatly exaggerated.

This is for sure one of the iconic places in Tucson. In my opinion is definitely a must visit if visiting Tucson to get chili dogs. I been coming to pats for years now and I’m never let down. The chili cheese dogs and the fries are aways very tasty. The service is aceptable yet the last time I was there the people at the front will serve their friends before the customers they don’t know. I also took a picture of my receipt to show some of the prices (picture attached) I will highly recommend and must definitely return.

Pats is an absolute must have in Tucson. Are you even considered a Tucsonan if you haven’t had Pats? Burgers are great for that quick bite and the chili cheese burgers are about as southwest as the sonoran dog. The Chili dogs are great also. 10/10 must recommend. Prices are incredibly low. Portions are incredibly high. Food wait times are low and the Staff are quick at getting out orders. Hardly any wait time. Everything is good. Try everything and become a true Tucsonan. You can sit inside/outside, in your car or take it home. It’s that comfort food that just hits different.

Pat's Chili Dogs is part of Tucson history on the Westside in Barrio Hollywood. I can honestly say that they still taste the same after 35 years. It's a walk-up restaurant that has an old 1950's feel to it. They have a tiny dining room and some outside table to eat on if you can find space. Most people order to go. I had the Pat's Chili Cheese Special with 2 extra mild dogs, and a Lg Pepsi for $22. If your feeling nostalgic and Love Chili Dogs than Pat's is the place try!
