The proof is in the pudding, and Govinda's is a must stop for anyone in Tucson looking for wholesome fresh vegetarian/vegan food at a price that I personally think is way to low, seeing that it's all you can eat.
I was there on a Thursday night, and it was busy, the outside patio with the lights had a calming atmosphere.
We bought some yoga beads in the store, and took home some cheesecake...yum,
This is my favorite place to eat. Everything is fresh, delicious, healthy, and prepared to perfection. The atmosphere is peaceful and fragrant as well. The boutique is well stocked with wonderful items from incense to colorful clothing and health items. It's a great place overall, with guilt-free dinning.
The only restaurant I consistently recommend to people in and out of Tucson.
Food makes me feel good.
Ate here in '98, 06, 18, 20, 21, and twice this week. It is a great space to eat alone or with others.
Explore the entire grounds. A quiet, centering space. Faith not required
Delightful place! Healthy Vegan and vegetarian food, delicious too. Lovely Koi pond and a peacock / turkey on the grounds. Food very reasonably priced and kids under 3 eat for free. Definitely coming here again!
Govinda's is one of the best, most special restaurants I've ever visited anywhere! The atmosphere is peaceful, beautiful, and blissful. The food is amazing - a great, rotating variety of vegan/vegetarian dishes to impress everyone - omnivores will love it, too! The food is served buffet-style and is prepared with a lot of love. This is reflected in the delicious taste and how nourishing it is. And definitely try the desserts at the buffet and in the display case - they are fantastic, too! The lunch/dinner buffet on Wednesday through Friday are entirely vegan!
The staff is very kind and helpful. The restaurant also features a beautiful patio (sometimes with live music), a lovely meditation garden/koi pond, exotic birds, and a great Indian boutique. Govinda's is my top choice for restaurants in Tucson - it is certain to wow out-of-town guests, too.
The food tasted great. There is a gift store, a fantastic buffet ($11.95 for adults, children under 3 eat free), and homemade cakes (from $2.95), mango lassi ($4.00) and herbal tea. There is little indoor seating, and it is unfortunately too narrow inside for a stroller or wheelchair. But there is a great garden outside with lots of seating with plenty of room for strollers and wheelchairs.

This place is beautiful! The atmosphere is calming. The service was good.
Sorry I didn't get more photos of the food, it was so good I forgot to take pictures. I'll have to get some when I go back. Yeah, it's worth going back.
The deserts were good, but not note worthy, although they will satiate that sweet tooth if you end up getting one.
Your going to love this place. They have a koy pond, an aviary a gift shop with things from India and a buffet that serves different food every day.
The gift shop has jewelry, incense and a host of other cool things including singing bowls that I happen to love.
Don't just read the review go check them out and start enjoying life! Way better than your chain restaurants.
This is a very unquie place and the help are awesome, very friendly.
They have small indoor dining area and a very large out door area.
Let me know what you think when you visit them.
Always delicious. Such an amazing variety of foods that they cycle through their buffet. We have seen so many dishes you wouldn't expect to be made vegan. Love the calm and peaceful atmosphere and outdoor seating.
When we are in vacation in Tucson, we like to go to this Hari Krishna temple to enjoy the buffet at Govinda's restaurant. All the food is either vegetarian or vegan, and a nice change from the not-so-healthy foods we enjoy at some places. It's self-service buffet and you can return for seconds if you aren't already full from the first round. There is a large patio if you want to eat outside, especially if it's not summer. Strangely the people working there are not so friendly and don't seem to want to smile which made me wonder if the community there is not so happy? But still, the good was enjoyable. There's an aviary and koi pond you can visit after your meal.
A wonderful place, with what must be one of Tucson’s best and biggest patios. Peacocks, a koi pond, fountains—one of a kind. And basic but good food at a great price. We go here weekly at least.
This place is divine. Peaceful environment (fountain, birds, trees, soft sitar music) and plentiful, incredible food. I am a professional chef, and can tell you that everything is properly and thoughtfully seasoned and balanced. My body feels fantastic after the meal. Can’t wait to return again and again. What a beautiful offering to the world you have there :)
