Wonderful friendly service with delicious tastes and smells! Located south of downtown in the Five Points area. Looking for a good coffee and food stop in!

Richly flavorful Ethiopian food, ready in a jiff and at extremely affordable prices! $12 got us helpings of three different succulent vegan dishes, plus a pile of warm injera. This was a wholesome, nourishing lunch for two. The cabbage/potato/carrot dish was my favorite, with its rich turmeric taste, but it was all excellent!

Sweetest folks working here! We visited on an early Friday night and sat on the patio. It was my first time trying Ethiopian food! We tried The Works platter and it was huge but definitely enough for 5 people to share. Also, it is best to come with friends as Ethiopian food is traditionally enjoyed communally, with your right hand instead of silverware (but they will kindly provide forks upon request). Don't miss out on the experience though by using a fork! Every plate comes with Injera, which is sort of like if you made a pancake and then opened it in half like a book. You get that air bubbly, soft inside- that's what the texture of Injera is like, and it tastes similar to sourdough bread. Each sample on the platter tasted so different, my favorite was the yellow chickpea/yellow split-pea and the non-spicy chicken. A lot of the flavors reminded me of authentic Mexican food so anyone who enjoys Mexican will likely enjoy Ethiopian. At the end, they surprised my friend with a slice of almond cake and a lit birthday candle. Not only that, but they brought enough slices for the group. Definitely recommend and definitely worth a try! Oh and the ladies bathroom is covered in huge mirrors which is pretty cool:-)

Stopped randomly by this place to get coffee and did not regret it. One of the best coffee in town! Strong and with significant flavor. The raspberry cake was so good too! And owner is super nice and friendly.

Wonderful dinner - yet again! After 4 visits in about as many years, Hurry (Zee), Jerry, Yorda & Gidey receive my praise for always serving up delicious meals in an equally enjoyable atmosphere and setting! Keep up the great work & thank you for the totally unexpected 15% birthday discount Hurry. We’ll be back!! 🎉

Ethiopian food. It was awesome. Great service. Ethiopian coffee was delicious. So many choices. Any vegetarian would be happy here. My favorite item was the green beans, and two choices of lentils are on the menu and were delicious. I dined with my daughter and she has returned several times since our initial visit! I will be doing the same.

Great place for real Ethiopian food and different types of coffee. They have order in or take out, and the food is spectacular. We had the veg/meat combo which let's you choose 5 meat or veggie items for two people at about 30$, but it easily fed us three. Good option for excellent grub.

I've never had Ethiopian food before but Pete, one of 3 of us was a big fan of the Cafe Desta and he suggested "The Works", a tray with 15-16 different entrees. Pete was right. Each entree was very fresh, interesting and delicious. The tray served 4 and we could not finish. As much as we tried. The soft, moist flat bread, I think called something like"Irgoro" was delicious too. I've never had anything like it. Service was friendly, and helpful. Very inexpensive too. They don't serve alcohol but gladly furnished us wine glasses at on charge without our asking ad Pete had brought a bottle of a good test which was the perfect choice. 4-5 of the entrees were meat. Several were grains based sauces, each quite different. Several more were cooked vegetables such chard and spinach. 2 we're fresh, uncooked vegetables. I really liked this place. It's a hike from where we live but we will be coming often anyway.

We eat here 2 - 3 times every year when we're in town for the crystal show and it gets better every year. The vegan sampler platter is incredible and feels medicinal for days after. So many great spices and herbs. The owners are amazing!
