Every year for my birthday I take myself out to a nice lunch alone. Since I had been to this restaurant and bar several times over the last few months, I went back today. My go to is the Ahi Tuna Tostadas. Fresh and cut perfectly. It’s not a tartar, it’s full chunks of tuna! (I should have taken a photo.)
I sat at the bar and Ari was amazing! She not only made recommendations for cocktails but she also checked on me frequently and was so friendly! My food came out timely and was so delicious!
The bar area is quiet and since it was a Friday afternoon, there was not a lot of people there. It’s really pretty at night too when the stars are out.
The staff brought me out this birthday dessert but since I was so full, I was only able to eat the cheesecake!
Thank you all for a great experience!
Terrific place with indoors and outdoors dining.
They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner here.
For breakfasts there are continental and full buffer plus a la carte menu (a la carte was served reasonably fast).
Dinners were delicious though portions were on the larger side. Tables are standing far enough from each other, this helps with the atmosphere.
Resort hosts a lot of families, so they have children buffet at dinner time, which was pretty popular.
Perfect place for a date night. We had the elote tamal and buffalo chicken wings, they were both excellent. I love sitting outside and enjoying the beautiful view.
Came for an event in the banquet area. Gabby was our server and she was fantastic! She was attentive and friendly. The service was outstanding. Lizeth was our go to bartender. She easily made the best drinks. Our whole table loved her! She was engaging and fun even when she was working fast to get the line of people taken care of.
I had the roasted cauliflower with mole negro and the pomegranate cheesecake. My husband had the apple crumb pie with caramel sauce. Everything was so good. Beautiful views. Top notch service.
Very nice presentation, and good selection of pastries, deli, and fruits.
Tried the full breakfast buffet and it was pretty good, but not worth the price difference between the full buffet ($27) and the continental ($17).
The only thing you're getting extra is the omelettes, pancake, waffles, and your coffee included in the full buffet.
The staff are amazing, and the decor is fantastic. Definitely worth trying it out while staying at the JW Marriott.
Superior dining experience. You can tell that the team that designed the menu really understands how to bring every dish together. The queso fondue (add the chorizo AND wild mushrooms) was super well balanced. We didn't lick the plate but it was a close call. The braised short rib was fall off the bone tender. No knives needed. The achiote chicken had a very nice spice to it. The seafood linguine was excellent with generous portions of sweet scallops and perfectly cooked shrimp. The apple pie crumb dessert was yummy and I loved the contrast of the pomegranate cheesecake. And don't forget the peach bellini that literally tasted like biting into a perfectly ripe peach infused with liquor. Service, of course, always exceptional. Thank you, Ayla!
Absolutely wonderful property. This is one of the favorite spots my friends and I enjoy having evening dinners. It’s a fantastic place to dress up nice if you want, or just getting into your swimwear and go to the pool. Take pictures of this beautiful property while you are there visiting.
This is a great place to dine in and get all dressed up for. A group of us reserved two tables (they only seat 6 people maximum due to the pandemic). The service was great. Very attentive waiter that always had our drinks filled. Definitely upscale and pricier than your typical restaurant. The entrees were definitely unique and had a nice presentation. I ordered. The churros are to die for, and one order of them is enough for a two to four people.
Food was pretty good but what made the experience so great was our server Terry. He was the best server I have ever seen!
