A small, jovial shop that packs a serious punch, particularly in the diversity department. Today I found a lovely, off-the-beaten-path bottle from Terra Brava called Xastra. Mencía grapes, fruity and tannic, delicious, perfect for summer. Makes one wish to visit Ribeira Sacra

Such a great place. Their wine selection in amazingly carefully curated, and they feature wines of a much higher quality that you would expect. I have yet to find a bad bottle here. They also let you buy a bottle and drink on site with no corkage or buy a glass. Amazing!

The only place I’ve found in the north lake area to carry a diverse selection of reasonably-priced wines. Lots of European and other non-Californian stuff! Unusual bottles; super knowledgeable couple who runs it. I just call them, give them an average price I’m looking for and a few words about recent bottles I’ve enjoyed, and swing by later to pick up my case. So happy I found this place!

I love the Pour House. The owner and everyone at the tiny tasting bar know their wine. The tasting selections are always eclectic. And the $10 selections are unbeatable in Truckee- what,you really want to spend your money at Safeway on generic mass market wine? No way - go to pour house.

This place is fantastic. Dean knows as much as anyone I've met about wine from all over the world, but if you're not a Truckee local, don't go here. Sure, he has great wines, beers, and cheeses, he's fun to talk to, his prices are good and he can help you pick what you'll love, but really we would like to keep this just to ourselves. So, if you go, and you're from out of town, maybe just don't tell anyone else about this great spot.

Best wine shop in Truckee! Super knowledgeable staff. If you like wine and know more than the typical Rombauer crowd about it, The Pour House is a must stop.

By far the best wine shop in the region. We stopped in to pick up a few bottles over the weekend of the 4th of july, and walked out with over a case. Most were wines we had never tried, and one was a varietal (Lemberger?) I had never even herd of. All were amazing. Thanks for the great recommendations. We look forward to our next recommendations.
