Lots of selfie opportunities City barbecue is fun and filled with fun spots for photo opportunities. There is a large beach chair to taking a picture sitting with a pig. This is not a formal place, but you go to the counter and bring the food back to your table. You can make your order seem more fancy by placing your food items on plates that are provided by the side pop fountain. The meat was cooked and delivered to perfection. The brisket sandwich was great, as well as the brisket stew. The French fries were not crunchy and not up to satisfaction. The corn bread was the most disappointing. It was probably pre-frozen and was dried out.

I would normally share a picture of the food but I had a bite on the way to my table and then it just disappeared just like that... I will say I was extremely surprised at how well this tasted. It is hands down some of the best I've had in many years and every aspect of it was good. The service was incredible as well as the food and the atmosphere. The corn bread pudding was out of this world and my wife flipped over the banana pudding. Literally nothing that I could complain about in fact everything was perfection.

Food was really good! Loved the Nashville chicken sandwiches and the fries were incredibly fresh. Really enjoyed the atmosphere here and the employees were phenomenal and friendly. Will definitely be back soon to eat my way through the rest of the menu!

RED!!!! ♥️😋🙌🏾 Appreciate you! Red exemplifies customer service! Too kind, walked us all our food, even simple sides. Sincere attitude. Good vibes. Usually sides suck but theirs compete with the main dishes. Go with the ribs, brisket & spicy BBQ! The bathrooms are clean too.

I order online, use curbside pickup, and have never had an issue. The city sampler is what I always order, it feeds two people well. Beef brisket is my favorite here, it's excellent. Turkey breast, pulled pork and pulled chicken are also very good. The garlic bread is a little dry and could use a little more butter and garlic. The baked beans at this location are my favorite in all of Oakland County. Likewise with the potato salad!

It's sort of a mid-range quick dining experience. You order your food, take a seat. Get your own drinks, silverware, barbecue sauce, Etc. When your number's called you go up and pick up your tray of food. No wait staff, but it looks like they clean the tables as people leave. Unfortunately, they were slow on cleaning up the tables so it's difficult to find a table that didn't need to be cleaned off. The meats are pretty good, I had the ribs and I really enjoyed them. My husband had chicken and beef brisket which he also enjoyed, although, he found that the chicken seemed like it was soaked in something, possibly chicken broth. He would have preferred a piece of chicken over them shredding the chicken like they did. The sides were pretty good as well. The macaroni and cheese wasn't to my taste, is it was pretty generic. But on the flip side, be vinegar-based slaw was amazing. Very different from what I'm used to, but I really appreciate it how it cut the fat in the meat. The baked beans with beef brisket was also really good. The environment was super cute, and felt contemporary yet it was still very Texan-ish. While we overall enjoy the meal, we felt it was a little pricey for an experience with that is very similar to Dickey's. Will return? Maybe. It's not down the street from us, so I doubt we'll be making a 20 minute drive to come back. But if we're on that side of town, possibly.

Great Barbecue, one of the best in the metro. A real BBQ joint Decor, rolls of paper towel on the tables and bags hanging in the wall for leftovers. The counter Service was good, I was surprised how long it took for our order but not a big deal. Since it was our first time we got the judges platter. Generous portions. The meats were great. Ribs are spot on. The pulled pork and brisket were good, a little mushy but that happens with smoked meats later in a day. The chicken was really good. Sides we're good, we got the green beans, potato salad and fries. My wife did not care for the saltiness of the green beans and potato salad. The fries were fresh and yumm. Definitely worth a trip.
