Great burgers hands down, this is your ideal brown bag burger place. Perfect family restaurant and great outdoor seating. The prices are very reasonable.
One of the better hamburgers and pork sandwiches I've had. Loved the specialty soda selection. Helpful and friendly staff! Fantastic food and experience all around! Will definitely be back.

Oh yes, it gets five points for decor, historical interest, organization, skilled help and smiles. We enjoyed the local-made soda machine. Our sandwiches: Sweet Lincoln Burger on a pretzel roll (add a dollar) with bacon, Swiss cheese, grilled onions and garlic honey mustard...T.C. Cherry Burger topped with local cherries, blue cheese, grilled onion and mayo...Mushroom Burger with sautéed mushrooms, Swiss cheese and mayo. We shared an order of fries. Do not miss enjoying this family friendly place. We sat inside but could have been outside or on the old front porch.
Great lunch spot. Air conditioned inside and lots of tables outside. There were lots of families and bigger parties when I was there and we got our food super fast! Great good, lovely service, fair price.
Ya wanna eat some good burgers? Slabtown rules in my book! So many different kinds of burgers (the Bleu cheese burger is my personal favorite), it's hard to decide which one to order! Great fries and locally made sodas are awesome accompaniments! You'll be pleasantly surprised! You can also choose from inside or outside seating. Great food, AWESOME employees, and great value for your $$$!
TC Best Kept Secret!!. My husband and I have been here MANY times and they never disappoint! We always get the sweet potato fries.. sure they're $3.25 but sooooo worth it. Hands down best sweet fries in town! We've had a variety of burgers and wraps and you can't go wrong with whatever you decide to get!

I'm impressed by the transformation of the old Victorian home into a burger joint. The burgers were incredibly tasty, bursting with flavor and juiciness. The tater tots and onion rings were equally delightful, crispy and delicious. The service was good, and the restaurant's dog-friendly atmosphere, along with ample outdoor seating, added to the experience.
We had a fun dinner, the restaurant is in an old Victorian house and has lots of news paper clippings and pictures to look at. We had THE BIG BLUE BURGER ( Single STUFFED with Bacon, Blue Cheese, and Cream Cheese inside, Topped with Ketchup, Mustard, Pickle, and Onion) and THE SLABBY PATTY (1/2lb of burger STUFFED with American Cheese, then topped with Ketchup, Mustard, Pickle, Onion, Lettuce, Tomato and Mayo) and the chili cheese fries. Everything was awesome, hot and fresh and brought out to you (you order at the counter). The have great local pop in the pop machine- I really liked the cherry 🍒. The food is great but the service is even better! We will be coming back again.
Extremely satisfied, would recommend. The food was amazing. I got the chicken caesar wrap, my sister got a cheese-stuffed burger, and both were delicious! It was busy and is small inside (only about 5 tables) but it was a Friday evening. Seating is help yourself, first come first served and we found a spot pretty quickly. Seemed well-staffed, which isn't common these days.
Some of the best burgers my wife and I have ever had. She had an olive burger that she said was the best ever, and I had a stuffed burger called the Pungi's Pepper patty, and it had jalapeños, cream cheese and bacon. Food came out fast, and I love the paper bags the food comes in. Can't wait to go back.
Great burgers! They have a nice variety of burger options, and they let you customize to make it just what you want. Pricing is quite reasonable (and a little cheaper if you pay with cash). The one downside is that sometimes they are very busy and you might wait 30-40 min for your food. Worth the wait though!
A unique burger joint smashed into an old Victorian home. This restaurant has limited indoor seating and most likely more seats outdoors than in. The place has a wonderful historic vibe with its old newspapers and pictures on the walls. Service is quick and informative, however having to go inside to place a to go order is counterintuitive. The burgers were ok. My wife had a single with Swiss and her response was it was a burger, not bad but not great. I tried a stuffed burger the Big Blue Burger that had bacon, blue cheese, and cream cheese in the middle. It was tasty with plenty in the middle. We tried the tots and fries that were just that, tots and fries. It’s a nice place if you’re in the neighborhood and a fan of flat top burgers give them a try.
This place is a tradition for my family! Great food and fast service a must have when visiting traverse city :)
Super fun atmosphere and the most delicious burgers I've ever had! Definitely try the strawberry milkshake too! The fries are to die for.
Each burger has its own personality. I got the olive burger and really dug the combination of Swiss cheese and olive sauce. The kids meals are a real deal, and certainly worth the cost. The tater tots were delicious and crispy, no soggy middle school tots here. The sodas were a local soda manufacturer with some interesting flavors. It is maybe a five minute walk from the downtown area, worth the trip.
Visited on a Friday evening of a holiday weekend and had Pungi’s pepper patty (a stuffed burger) and bacon cheese fries. There were lots of people there and they handled the orders well. Pretty fast service—also very friendly. A great local spot for a wide variety of “greasy” burgers—I recommend! Also a good spot to sit outside on one of their patio tables.
