Amigos Mexican Restaurant

Tried this place on a whim after seeing it while leaving Hy-vee. Bartender blends the drink themself instead of coming out of a machine, it really makes a difference. Very yummy! The chimichanga was delicious, the chicken was cooked perfectly and had lots of flavor. I liked the decor, colorful and bright. Fun place to go!

I have been to this restaurant many times and loved their food. However, two weeks ago I placed a carry out order and when I got home and was eating, I noticed something strange in the food. So I didn't eat the rest of the food, but by then I was almost done eating. I woke up in the middle of the night very sick. My stomach really hurt and I couldn't stop vomiting. Then after a couple hours of vomiting, I had diarrhea for two days. My doctor said I had food poisioning. I kept what I had left of the food and called the restaurant and told them. I said I wanted to bring the food in for them to look at to tell me what I noticed strange in it. They said I didn't have food poisoning, but would call me back, but they never did!! I reported them to the health dept and will never go back!!!
