Well worth a visit! You can see the outside for free and get a free app with a narrated guide. If you choose to take a tour, you'll only pay $5 and get access to the interiors along with the ability to ask questions. Of course it depends on the quality of the guide, but I recommend it. Tour takes about an hour.

The old town was pretty cool too walk through. The staff was very nice and helpful. The botanical gardens were very nice with a very nice verity and nice landscaping and water features. Brought a lunch and had lunch at one of the many picnic tables.

Was a nice place. Beautiful buildings, wonderful history lesson. But we went and no one around due to a wedding. Website and out front did not show closed. But fairy garden's were beautiful.

Hidden gem. The volunteers who helped to bring various buildings to the park should be commended for their efforts. Donna was our guide and she was fantastic. She is a local with a passion for the history of the area. Very insightful and she could answer any question we had.

Nicely done display of an 1850's prairie town home and buildings. I had to install an App on my phone to listen to an audio tour as we walked around, but it would have been much more interesting if we could have gone inside the home and other buildings on a paid tour.
Only the General Store and the Drug Store with a soda fountain were open.
The gardens & pathways next to the home were very pretty with spring flowers, a small pond and an area set up to accommodate outdoor weddings.

A preserved slice of Americana in a nice little neighborhood in Topeka. Stopped here for a distraction while driving East from Cali to NH. Had a delicious vanilla milk shake at the old fashioned Potwin drug store.

Lovely botanical gardens, we especially liked to Koi ponds. The building in the old town were awesome too.

Fun little town. A lot of amazing little facts using a new app called OtoCast which gave the ability to lead a self-guided tour. The mansion is absolutely beautiful as are the botanical gardens. Stop if you have time!
