This review is specifically for Riley and Brittany in the bakery department at the Wanamaker store. I went in to make an order for the life celebration for my dear mother who recently passed after a sudden illness. They were both so knowledgeable, helpful and patient with me. They made my day brighter with their kindness and eagerness to achieve my special order. I deeply appreciate them. They are a stellar representation of Hy-Vee customer service.

Always like when I go to HyVee. They're friendly, store is always clean, and their meat is really good for the price you pay. Today, I noticed they are changing things around (haven't been in awhile), the work area was blocked off and clean. Very impressed any time I shop here.

Typical grocery store. They have a good selection of whatever you're looking for but also very pricey so definitely a give and take situation. Sometimes the cashier's won't even look at me much less how I am or usher in any kind of greeting whatsoever which I find a bit rude but the store is very clean and well kept. Overall you can't go wrong.

This store is being remodeled, even so it is a great place to shop at if you want a large variety of groceries to choose from. Stick to the house brands and the specials, those are the best values. It can be tough to get in and out of the parking lot on a busy day, , especially if you use the 29th street entrance.

They are currently going thru alot of construction to the inside of the store. It's always clean and the workers are always so kind and helpful. The meat is always fresh and the bakery items are always very good. I always go at night after the restaurants inside are closed so they have tons of take out items from all of them. From Chinese to pizza to meatloaf to lasagna I haven't found a bad meal yet!

Checked online prior to going to make sure they had the items I needed. When I got there, half of my list wasn't available so I had to go to a second store. Really threw my trip to town out of my planned schedule. So I guess you just have to take your chances since the website isn't up to date or accurate.

Produce man helpful and polite. I check out and was buying watermelon wedges on sale for $1.99. I get to the register and the young man rings it up $7.04. I said no, it was on sale. So he brings another young man over and I told him it is on sale. He asked how much? I couldn't remember. NEVER offered to go get price. So they kept the watermelon. I checked the price leaving $1.99. I told the cashier and he just looked at me stupidly. NOT IMPRESSED HYVEE! Pure laziness.

Overall, the store is nice and clean. However, it's very clear that the men's bathroom isn't even an after thought. There's layer upon layer of soap scum on the stall walls, there a light out, the urinal is defunct, and it smells terrible.
How could such an otherwise clean store neglect their bathrooms to such an extent?
