Nautilus Diner

Entering the restaurant was a pleasant experience. Everything was neat, and clean with a calm environment. The moment I entered after breakfast though, I was given the breakfast menu. So I asked about the pastas and they gave me the dinner menu. First, I tried the Italian combo which consisted of Chicken, shrimp, and Eggplant parmigiana along with spaghetti that has marinara sauce. I ordered it without the shrimp. They satisfactorily served me the dish without the shrimp. However, the chicken was infuriatingly and extremely difficult to cut with the knife, and the chicken had a god awful texture. You could feel the sensation of the chicken RIPPING through your teeth, and the vibrations it transfers to your teeth. I tried powering through the first chicken breast but I nearly threw up doing so. I wasn’t even given a chance to try the pasta. Then, they took the plate away after I told them that I didn’t enjoy it for the reasons stated here. I then tried the chicken Alfredo fettuccini. The SAME issue persisted in the chicken with the horrible texture. The appearance was almost as if it was raw, and subtly pink. I hope to dear god that I did not eat raw chicken. Shame on these cooks for committing heresy on these dishes. This place should be avoided at all costs if you’re looking for good food. Shame on this establishment for even having the audacity to charge me the five dollars for the soup after those atrocious meals.

Eat lunch here frequently. Food is great, especially world class onion rings. We have been so happy and not disappointed until recently. HOWEVER, napoleons are a BIG mistake. They should be like canoli, crispy pastry, fresh creamy filling. The pastry was soggy and old. The filling was also old & unremarkable. I suggest individually preparing them for each customer and not displaying them in the glass case up front. Tempting to see; terrible to eat. So sorry.

I ordered the cap steak sandwich. The thing had no seasoning. The steak was pale in color like it wasn’t even cooked on one side. It was 22 dollars just for the steak sandwich. The server was new so he didn’t know much but he was friendly. I also ordered a chocolate cake to go it Looked amazing but that’s about all it was very dry when I ate it.
