If you're looking at reviews to compare places to eat, let me save you the time - go here. Period. Great prices, friendly service, delicious food that left us pleasantly full - isn't that the best you can ask for? 😁 First, the service. We were immediately warmly greeted and seated. I didn't see a name tag, but our server was a lovely young lady who used to live in Arizona (where we were visiting from). She was super friendly! Next, you may have heard the saying "Oh, they've got the GOOD ice!"... They do! It's even smaller than the pebble ice used at Sonic and Circle K, and was wonderful. Some people will wonder why this matters, but others will get it! 😁 I got the chicken sandwich, he got the super burrito, and we got a root beer freeze to split. What's a root beer freeze, you ask? It's a root beer float, blended! 😋 I'm pretty sure the whipped cream on top was freshly made. Our server told us that they make the vast majority of things fresh in house, and you can definitely tell! The super burrito was, indeed, super! It came with some kind of corn mush that was an incredible touch to have a little bit of that with each bite! We both forgot it comes with chips and dip, so that was a lovely surprise! My chicken sandwich (with fries) was delicious - TIP: get it with ranch! Their ranch is fresh-made in-house and it's delicious, especially with the ranch (which also makes a fantastic dip for their fries). All in all, I'm not sure I'll ever be passing through this part of Portland again, but if I ever do, best believe I'll be eating here again! So if you ARE on the area looking for a good, simple, affordable, casual, yummy place to eat, let me save you the looking around - go here! 😊

My family has been coming here since before I was born, it’s home to us. The owners are wonderful, staff always friendly. I highly recommend their burritos, by far one of my favorites. And their pies, strawberry shortcakes and breakfasts are phenomenal. Every trip back home we always have to eat here at least twice. We love Davidson’s

This restaurant used to be our favorite spot and we would go once a week for breakfast or dinner. Lately the staff has been acting weird. One night we were there our waitress delivered our food and never came back. The phone rang and rang and nobody answered it. This went on for 30 minutes. We paid our bill with the owner and nothing was said as to why the waitress seemed to no longer work there or why the dishwasher, cook, or she let all of us listen to a phone ring our entire dinner. The last five times we've been there we have gotten the dark curly haired waitress who is awkward and unfriendly. You have to ask to get your chips & salsa and when she does bring it out it is in a half full metal dressing container than is so tiny a chip cannot fit into it. All the other waitresses brought the salsa in a larger bowl so your chips aren't wasted. If you ask for more salsa she rolls her eyes and sighs. If you ask for a refill, a napkin, or anything else she visibly acts upset. She ignores her customers and acts put out if you ask her for anything. If you ask for extra napkins she brings one. If you ask for a soda she brings you a half glass, if you ask for dressing you get a tablespoon. It is irritating because she forces you to have to ask again. I do not know what is going on there but it went from being our favorite place to a place we no longer wish to visit.

When I got up and made it to work, I had already decided I didn't care where, I was going to have biscuits and gravy. I popped into Davidson's because it was on their menu. The staff was awesome and helped me quickly and let me pick where I wanted to sit. When I saw that they actually had rolls and gravy instead of biscuits I got super excited, but was quickly let down by what actually showed up. The rolls were super dry (I got rolls so they wouldn't be) and the gravy was bland and had almost no meat in it. I set out on a quest for biscuits and gravy and wound up regretting what I ordered. The staff is 5 stars, but the food just wasn't good. I might forget and give them another try, but until then I probably won't be back for breakfast food anytime soon...
