We stopped at Ole Times on our drive back from Orlando to Atlanta, it’s the perfect early lunch spot for the time we usually get back on the road home. This is a traditional style buffet with country style food. As you enter, you pay and select a drink (sadly Pepsi products) then choose a table and dig in while the server brings the drinks to your table. They ask you if you want cash back from your credit card for the tip, there’s no mechanism to add the tip directly to the charge slip which I found odd. The decor is a lot of wood tones, with basic tables and booths (and lots of them). This being post COVID, I was interested in their protocols for safety and I wasn’t disappointed. There were multiple hand sanitizer dispensers, and there were disposable gloves available for use at the buffet. We used both and felt perfectly safe with the precautions they have taken. There was a wide selection of food with many different meat, veggie and starch options available. There was a separate well stocked salad bar, and a large dessert station with many selections. All the food we tried was well made and seasoned, the green beans had a nice ham flavor to them and the fried chicken was crispy and perfectly salty. At around $11 per person we were very happy with the selection and value received, and the service was friendly and efficient. We will definitely be back, if you like country food and/or buffets then Ole Times is highly recommended.
The best okra. No heavy batter, super crispy. I like to buy it by the pound. It makes the best Sunday afternoon treat. Eat it like popcorn!
Amazing southern country food done the right way. Visit any chance you get!
What a wounderfull way to enjoy Father's Day with a excellent Lunch.Catfish is 2 thumbs up!
My personal opinion I love it. facts : it's on the higher end of fairly priced .
Some of the food can be greasy. Some of the food can be bland. For the most part the food is very good. The best nights to eat during dinner service is Friday and Saturday night. The rest of the week eat lunch service. The people are very nice. The waiters and waitresses are very hospitable. Overall about 7 out of 10 for me .
Well this was a delightful experience. My grandparents have been coming here for years. Granddad drives trucks and stops in Tifton on his way home to Florida. Grandma grew up and loves to have dates with Granddad as they drive through. THIS TIME my husband and I joined the on their secret rendezvous and it was sooooooo delicious. We are vegetarians and the sides were very tasty...mac n cheese, candy yams, greens, fried rice, fried okra...hey don't sleep seafood for days. You MUST try them. Clean, friendly, GREAT FOOD and atmosphere.
The food is well prepared, but the buffet lacks variety. Sadly there are absolutely no labels on the dishes that are out. The food is all southern comfort food, though there is a salad bar too. The servers are quick to refill a glass and friendly too. The trays are refilled quickly on the bars, but not always with the same food. The dining areas are very clean. The parking lot is spacious, has handicapped parking, and to-go parking.
