Review Omi's Grill - Tampa

Awesome Puerto Rican food. Everything was authentic! I live in California and can’t get legit Puerto Rican food so this was an amazing treat. The red beans, the mofongo con camarones, and the arroz con gandules were all delicious. My husband had the surf and turf and the steak was great too!

We went Sunday 9-10-2023. To start the place is clean, the staff gree ver had fresh made. We placed order and went and sat down. Their is sitting outside too. The owner came over. What a Delightful, kind person. The food is made with Love. We chatted. We were waiting on Hubby's order of Crazy Fries and My order of Smashed Burger & fries. Owner brings A taste of Red beans & Rice. HEAVEN!! The sauce is made with pumpkin. It is smooth, tangy our palettes were dance happily. No you cant taste pumpkin. It makes the sauce smooth, robust, just right in perfect thickness. Owner is greeting others, bringing drinks and food out. The youngman working was doing same as well as being in the kitchen. Which was CLEAN, staff were smiling and you could tell they loved what they were doing and were happy to be there. From owner to all staff "everyone was treated with respect and like family." Here comes our order "CRAZY FRIES..they are Crazy and so CRAZY GOOD! Hubby got the Monfongo with steak, chicken, ham, plantains, potato sticks, cheese sauce. THIS IS A MUST TRY!! Needless to say "we did not expect so much food." The smashed BURGER INSANITY the taste, texture and omg so much Huge. Fresh tomato and lettuce is NOT ICEBERG wanna be lettuce. Greens. We could not eat even half. Had to order lemonades to go. Shared with others the Crazy Fries, Smashed Burger. Today we had the red beans, rice with pork! Everyone deserves to be treated like they are family and valued. Happy Owner, Staff and Patrons. Everyone should go and SEE for yourself. I do BELIEVE you will be going back on a regular bases. I know we will. They are CLOSED on MONDAYS. They have a lunch Special daily. A meal deal of Fresh roasted rotisserie chicken which they do right there and comes with rice and beans. Yes we will be going and grabbing the meal for $20 half a chicken for it will freed us 2 meals each. This would be a +20 stars rating or more. Initial visit, ordered the garlic chicken, arroz con gandules and maduros. The food had lots of flavor and wasn't overly salted. Made to order main entree. The owner was very nice and mentioned upcoming events and menu items. Let me try a new dish that would be served the next day. Look forward to trying other plates.

Great authentic Puerto Rican food. The flavor was amazing. The owner came to the table and visited. Had a great meal and made a new friend. Will be back as soon as I can. You must try this place.

Good place if you want to enjoy some delicious authentic puerto rican food. I been there a couple of times and everything i tried is good so far, I'll keep visiting.

Food was tasty. Service was ok... seems like they could benefit from hiring service personnel. I'm sure it will only get better with experience. We look forward to going back.

The food here is authentic Puerto Rican food. It tastes just like from the island. The pricing is great and the staff is friendly and attentive.

Very friendly service and went out of their way to accommodate my usual food allergy issues. I ordered the smash burger which they modified and put on Texas toast. Wow! So good. Buttery outside, perfectly cooked and seasoned burger, fresh fries and burger toppings are deliciously fresh. Highly recommended!

Great family owned Puerto Rican restraunt in the Temple Terrace area. The Food and Hospitality is 5 Star. Go check Omi's out and you will not be disappointed.

Food was delicious! Tried a few different dishes and I can not say one bad thing about anything I ate. Owner was so friendly, nice atmosphere. Will definitely be going there more.

We had dinner there for the first time. The smash burger was delicious. The staff was friendly and brought us a sample of dufongo, since we had never tried it. It was made fresh and very tasty. We will be back.

Ordered shrimp mofongo and flank steak Mofongo bowl. It was absolutely delicious. The shrimp wasn’t over cooked, and the garlic sauce was a perfect mix. The steak was ordered medium rare and was over cooked, but the flavor was on point. It was not overcooked to the point where it was chewy and flavorkess, it still was tender and very good. This restaurant is the restaurant we will bring our friends to and come to on a regular basis!

I loveeee this place and everything they do food wise . Yesterday I ate the Pork Porchetta they had as a Weekend Special and OMG!!!! It was like having fire works in your mouth. Service is excellent, family environment, Mojitos where on point! I definitely recommend. If you know how to eat good, you have to visit this place.

The food at this truck is amazing. Best mofongo I have had outside of Washington Heights. The prices are really good considering anything you order easily feeds two. My wife and I each had to take half our food home. Food took awhile but was well worth the wait, will absolutely be back!

Yesterday was my first time trying there food and I tell you it was worth every penny. My husband and I had a mofongo with pulpo and out of other mofongos we've ate it was the best the flavor was on point.

I was a lil skeptical, but i have to say it was delicious!!! The mofongo, shrimp and carnitas was on point. I would have liked it if there were a lil more shrimp, but it was still delicious.

Amazing food!! From the first bite you get hit with delicious flavor. Definitely will go back. Mofongo was bomb!
