The lunch specials here are excellent. I had the 2 sushi roll combo with spicy tuna and tempura shrimp. My mom had the hibachi chicken. Both meals were great. Each special was $7.75. The only reason I'm not giving this place a 5/5 is cleanliness. Several of the booths still had food on the benches. The soy sauce at the table had a hair on it. The bathroom floor was a little dirty. With a little work, this place could be wonderful. I'll definitely go back.

I really went back and forth between 3-4 stars. The food was good not great.
The prices are ok. The rice and steak & veggies were the best part. The sushi was better than supermarket but not even close to Tomo. But it is cheaper. The eat in experience is low and whether you plan to dine in or carryout... Order online or you will be waiting for a bit. All that being said... it is good food, you can take home!

Awesome place. I normally visit the Golden Krust restaurant when I come this area and one day this place caught my attention. Told myself "I'll be back for you very soon". I'm am very pleased with their service and also food. Some of the best tasting rice I've had thus far. I ordered the rice with the chicken, steak and shrimp. One thing I will point out, they're not consistent with how many shrimps you get. You'd notice because they're jumbo. First time I ordered there were 5, then 4 and now 3. Overall for the price, the portion size is on par. I've also tried the spicy krab rolls and they're good. I come to this place at least 2-3 times a week now. Their teriyaki sauce is the bomb! I mix it in with my rice.

Great variety of sushi roles with amazing taste along side many other delicious entrees. The food is not expensive, good quality, and a decent quantity.
The restaurant is mostly self service so tip is not necessary but appreciated. Expect to pay first, soft drinks are self served via fountain, and the food is brought to your table.

This place has been pretty constant with their food. It's good inexpensive fair if you're looking for the usual Asian food and their sushi selection is decent as well. Good lunch specials on hibachi plates in particular.

A wonderful addition to the Southeastern Lutz eateries! The Hibachi Japanese Express is a few months old now, and is an excellent place to eat. They serve a wide variety of fresh, tasty menu items cooked as you order in woks, not ladled out of hours-old bins. They specialize in Sushi Rolls (35 different types) and have a bar with a Sushi Chef!
I took photos of the menus to save time explaining. Viki and the other hosts are very accommodating, the place is squeaky clean and the food is delicious. If you are traveling it will be a great, quick stop that you and your family will enjoy. They are about 30 seconds away from the interstate!

We usually order takeout here at least 3 times a month. We usually order the steak or chicken hibachi with the fried chicken appetizer and let me tell you.. it never disappoints. The food is always hot and fresh. The whole staff is friendly. Andddd.. Yum yum sauce is bombbbb. Definitely love this spot.

Hibachi express always cooks their meats and veggies to perfection. Underneath all of that, exists the best rice ever fried. Put down your Uber Eats app and visit their dining experience. The resturant is always full of the friendliest staff and are top of the line grade "A" for "American"!!

Seriously one of the best hibachi AND sushi places I’ve been too. The sushi is as good as some of the best sushi places around. And that’s hard to believe because the prices are the best in Tampa. On top of that the lunch hibachi is a tremendous portion size and it’s as good as Kobe steakhouse hibachi’s. This place is seriously awesome.
