Pretty much the only place in town to get quality and truly Japanese comfort food dishes, like Katsu Curry or Beef Bowls. I usually just grab takeout, and it's super quick. Staff is very friendly and welcoming. Honestly if you're looking for a good Japanese spot that has it all... This is it.

I've passed by many times and did not stop because I did not like the location vibes I got. They seemed surprised I was there for lunch but they were open. When testing a sushi place I order the sashimi and look for any of my favorites. In luck, they make spider rolls, a favorite of mine. The salmon and white tuna were great and the tuna was good. The clam and shrimp don't ever change from place to place. There was no yellow tail, one of my favorite sashimi's. The sashimi selection could have been better. The spider roll had the classic flavor I look for, very good! The place itself looks cluttered, dingy and unorganized. It felt a bit claustrophobic. As you turn the corner it opens up a little. Massive menu of interesting and obscure items. I'm definitely going back to try a more diverse selection. It may take while. If great food persists, then it will go to 5 stars. Ramen is next.

Best Takoyaki and Japanese Curry in Tampa in my opinion.
But the ramen has been inferior for a while now but it's still better than most restaurants.
Expect nothing else in terms of ambiance and be prepared for minimalist service though.
It's all about the authentic food and that's all that matters most times.

This is a quiet and quaint restaurant. First time coming to this place I was not aware of the extensive menu. The vast options that they have not only sushi, but ramen, udon, curry, and other great Asian cuisine. I was a little overwhelmed at the menu because everything looked delicious.
The quantity of the food is amazing. Enough to fill you up, and maybe even take some home.

They stopped serving OKINOMIYAKI years ago and get mad if you ask about it. Everything else is top notch!
The food here is authentic and incredibly delicious, but I do wish service was better... I rather give tip to the cooking staff most times.
I come from St.Pete and use to make the trek almost every week if that shows my craving for their food. Price is worth it.

This is like being in Japan. The proprietors are just so wonderful the food is amazing considering they're usually working with American suppliers. It is far better than any other Japanese place I have been to.

The ramen is so deliciously yummy! My personal favorite is the soy, however the curry, pork belly and champon are also just as good! We love to try new things here and haven't had a bad meal yet! My family and I come in here often to enjoy the sushi that is incredibly fresh! Thanks so much to the staff/owners for making such delicious food!

Owner and/or staff are rude, and simply don't understand American (or business) culture.
The multiple, goofy policies handwritten and plastered all over the wall is a sight to see.
Nevertheless, the food is excellent. Just wish the owner/staff didn't insult my guests or family or me every other time we visit! 5 stars food, 3 stars (generous) service, = 4 stars overall.

The food was awesome, hands down the best I have had in a long time! As everybody mentioned the customer service in need of major improvement. However, we enjoyed our food so much that waitress and her non-friendly attitude didn't bother us too much.

I love eating here. My favorite is the Tonkatsu Ramen and the Pork Katsu Curry. Everything I've tried has been delicious, though! The service has apparently improved since other reviewers have visited. I've never had a problem, but don't expect "typical" American customer service. If it was a "typical" American restaurant the food wouldn't be this deliciously authentic.
