What a name box of Cubans, sounds like it might be a cigar store. But it's not. This place is a hidden hidden hidden g e m. Best Cuban sandwich in my current memory. And with all the places I go who knows about my memory. But I'm sure this is a top-level you got to try it you got to go there Cuban sandwich. Now first in order to find this place you drive down the street and it's a little tough. It's hidden inside a convenience store behind the gas station with the little green circle I think BP kind of gas station. Sign is on the big standard out front beneath the gas station stuff and as you walk up to the convenience store there's a smaller Circle that says box of Cubans on the right. Now that you know how to find it get out there and find it and have a great meal. Now back to our meal. Cuban sandwich at all the right attributes that a pure Cuban sandwich should have, including a Cuban family making it. Apparently this running a restaurant has been a dream and a passion for this man and his wife. They are living the dream, and we can participate and be part of that dream by coming on in and having another sandwich or their black beans or my gosh the green sauce that they made to put on the pork I got a little taste of it oh my God it was great. Now I also had an empanada and I have had a lot of empanadas around the country and this one was Far and Away the best. Finally something where the pastry on the empanadas was thin and balanced with the meat, unlike some of the ones I've had with quarter inch thick pastry. This place is where you need to go for lunch in fact I would say call ahead take 10 sandwiches back for the crew at work this is the way to have a meeting and a great lunch. These people are so nice and they're cooking is so loving get on down there and have a good time I did. And I'm going back next time I'm in town. I sure hope it's soon. I can meet up when you live 2000 miles away
Today we had Cubans from Box of Cubans. That was by far the absolute best Cubans I’ve ever had my life.
The owners were so amazing. The pork was absolutely amazing and juicy. (When Callie eats the meat, you know it’s good)Their homemade sauce is to die for. It definitely made a pregnant woman so happy. I wanted to go back for some more it was that good.
It does take 15 to 20 minutes for Cuban. But the wait was definitely worth it. You can tell that they really put their passion and love in their food. Fresh sautéed onions. Fresh out of the oven pork. The bread was perfectly pressed and not too crunchy or burnt. They seriously deserve ����� out of �����. Will definitely make this a regular place!

I’m writing this while we’re still here - it’s that good! We’ve tried several Cuban restaurants since moving to the area a few months ago, and this one is hands down the very best. Just like others have already said, the food is excellent. We had a classic Cuban sandwich, Miami style (the best way!), which had such great flavor. My media noche was the best I’ve ever had, which is high praise. The black beans and rice were on point, too. Everything was exactly as it should be: delicious! Thanks for the great food and service, Box of Cubans. We’ll definitely be back!

Made it a specific point to have lunch here today after multiple years of passing it by back off Faulkenburg and even the past several months here in Riverview.
Now we are wondering why it took us so long to miss out on such amazing grub and service!
Be prepared though, this place is super busy, and for good reason obviously.
I had a traditional Cuban sammich and a Cheeseburger Empanada. First the Embanada is da bomb. Perfect filling and freshly made, not greasy. Dipping it hot sauce added a whole different dimension to a simple starter.
Let's talk about the Cuban. I have been a fan of the Cuban sammich since long before moving to Florida from Ohio 5 1/2 years ago. So many variations. So many failures, including trying to make my own version (which I have down to a pretty good variation right now).
This one tough, has the right amount of Lechon, the right amount of Serrano Ham, the right amount of cheese, the right amount of pickle, and almost the right amount of mustard. Pressed to perfection.
On a scale of 1 to 10, it's a solid 9.9 On the rating of best Cubans ever...top 3 easily, possibly second best ever. Touch a little bit more filling (not much more, just a little more) including just a hint more mustard would probably sway me to rate this as the best ever.
The other half had the chopped cheeseburger pressed sammy. Wow, is that a work of art or what? Yummy on all counts!
As a Veteran, I do not willingly seek out to participate in all the Veteran's Day discounts and free meals. It just a thing I have about helping local businesses stay in business and I am not opposed to paying fair rates for good food and service.
That being said, the very friendly woman taking my order asked if I was a Veteran and I showed proof. She gave me a meal discount, and a voucher for $5 off next order. Totally unexpected and fully appreciated.
In fact, I think I will return one next next week to have a breakfast here and use my coupon.
Excellent job, highly recommend this place. Just be prepared for the fact that this place is not a secret...the line was out the door when we left. Says a lot doesn't it?
*And yes, just a couple days later I had to have a breakfast here. Got the Cuban Griddle which is an Omelette with cheese, sausage and a thin line of guava jelly on media noche bread. This is simply an amazing sammich!!! While I love the crunchiness of pressed Cuban bread, this makes sense to be on the softer side using the media noche on a shorter press.
Had some freshly squeezed (to order) orange juice and one of the best Cafe con Leche's I have ever had. It really was made perfectly!
Breakfast expectations exceeded the high bar already set by the previous lunch. Outstanding!
Delicious Cuban sandwich. I usually like tomato and lettuce on mine but it was so yummy, I didn’t even miss it! Super Friendly staff as well. Highly recommend

I am from Miami and have been searching for good Cuban food in this town but nothing ever really does it for me. Until now! I got the Pan Con Bistec - it was absolutely delicious, fresh, crunchy, toasted to perfection, and the house cilantro sauce they put on it gives it another dimension of flavor that you don’t find on your average pan con bistec. The palomilla steak on it is fresh and delicious as well. I also got the beef empanada which was also pretty good. The service is also great they are all very inviting and create such a friendly atmosphere for all who walk in. Tons of people came in for lunch and they get through the line super quick and the food is also ready very quickly as well. They also gave me a fresh complimentary Cuban French toast to try on my way out!! I can’t wait to come back & try more of their food!!!
I love this place the best food and Cafe Con leche I have ever had.the man who makes it is like a god of Cuban coffee it tasted like a dream. I am not kidding .the whole experience was great nice to know there are still people who care about their jobs .thank you all so very much .
Stopped here for lunch on a Friday afternoon and had a pork sandwich. Flavor was excellent with a little bit of spice from jalapeno peppers. The sandwich was pressed like a classic Cubano. One day that stands out of box of Cubans is the energy of the staff. It's friendly, in your face, but it's great.
One thing to note is nothing stood out as a healthy option. It might have been there It just didn't see it on the menu. And the drinks are all just fountain service far as I could see. Maybe they have some other options they just didn't jump out at me.

The gentleman behind the counter has an awesome personality. We were going to get the Cuban since that is what they’re known for but he suggested the Pan Con Bistec, steak sandwich. He was spot on, it was delicious. He also suggested an empanada, steak and cheese, so good. Highly recommend
The best pan con bistec anywhere! Really love the flavor and the meat is so tender. The Cuban is excellent. Don’t forget to try the croquetas. Staff is so warm and welcoming and gets the food out quickly. The owners really pay attention to the quality of the food and service. 100 percent recommend this place!
10 out of 10! Home run! Absolute Banger! God I love when a new place opens up and it’s a hit! Wife and I swung in after seeing this place pop up on Facebook a couple times and man am I glad we did. I had the Cuban sandwich, black beans & rice, and an empanada. My wife had the chopped chopped cheese burger, and an empanada. Every bite was a tasteful delight, that hit all the right spots. You have a lot of places claiming to make an authentic Cuban sandwich but box of Cubans rises above all competition! Yeah we’ll definitely be back. Andddddddd the bathrooms were clean!
Their Cuban sandwiches are sooo good!! Really friendly staff too. Breakfast and lunch all day. Definitely would recommend
