I love the food! yes sometimes you have to wait just a little but nothing crazy people just like to exaggerate and plus understand it’s not a lot of people working. BEST CUBAN sandwich in America, hands down! I wish I would have gotten a second one to eat on the plane ride home! They have picnic tables out in front and plenty of parking located just behind the restaurant. If you are anywhere near Tampa, make this a must do on your list. There is a reason this shop has been on the travel channel twice!

I have been coming to this small cafe for many years and love it more each time I come. It was recently renovated and even underwent new ownership but has maintained its charm, great service, and even better food. Their coffee is probably the best I have ever had, and their sandwiches really are the biggest ever. This place is super casual, so no need to get fancy.

Ordered from postmates. I think it took longer than expected to make the food. But when the food finally arrived it was amazing. I don’t expect to get flavors like this for a price so reasonable. I will visit soon. I will not get the cuban sandwich again. It was delicious but there are things on the menu which I have never heard of and now I want to know.

Excellent Cuban sandwich. New decor, automated ordering which has had little impact on timely service. That said. it's the real deal in Cuban cooking. And, if having a birthday, Mario who is always an entertaining fixture, dons his birthday cake hat and gets everyone singing to the special day diner. My Erehwon Retreat Vacation Rental guest love this local spot.

Quick, friendly and delicious! Cuban bread is always fresh, soft and hot. Their breakfast is always on point. I have probably eaten 75% of the sandwich menu and haven't found on I didn't like. If you want a special treat order the Ropa Vieja empanada!

I first came to file a very small complaint about not getting any Cuban bread on the side, but as soon as I tasted the collard green soup ' I forget all about the bread !!! The best collard green soup I've ever had, period. Very good and tasty steak , and real good yellow rice as well !!! The empanadas I had were small but still damn good. I'm pretty sure the owner used to be a waiter at "La Ideal" for years back in the day .

Just best place for a real Cuban breakfast with the amazing 'cafe con leche' and Cuban toast... Don't forget about the 'Media noche' sandwich or the 'chori-pan' all this with the friendliest and kindest waitress in the Tampa area. If you are visiting or just passing by don't miss eating in this place is simply delicious.

Absolutely worst service ever! Waited over half an hour and food didn't come. My husband ordered a milkshake, which the waiter finally brought however it was warm. I was never brought my drink. We didn't even stay to see how the food was. I was looking forward to trying their Cuban sandwich however I will never be back.

Being from Miami, I went in skeptical of any Cuban food, but it was beyond worth the visit. I've now been back multiple times and have a hard time recommending only one thing on the menu. It's all amazing and I've never had anything less than exemplary service

The new owners are very rude!! If Mario was to leave we would not go back ! It takes forever for the food to come out now!! But it dose tast good ! Why did you guys rise the price of the food to do the remoled? The only reason I you are in business is because of Mario and all of is old customers we will never abandon him !!!

Funny how this used to be my favorite restaurant in Tampa. When my family would come from Spain or from other states this was the first place I would go.... After the new renovation I thought that it was going to be the same place felt like home with great food. The waitress gave my food to someone else after seeing both of them put there hands all over it she took it back came back about 5 minutes after and gave me an husband cold food. Meaning they never remade it and then my eggs and bacon were even cooked all the way. I just can't believe a place I ate at almost every day of my life has turned to shit.

Loved it! The espresso was outstanding as well as the devil crab, maybe the best I've ever had. I had the lunch special pork with onions and black beans with rice. Excellent! Best part about this experience was our waiter who despite being swamped with the lunch rush was super friendly, attentive, and helpful. It was fun to see this guy taking care of the whole dining room at once and doing with a smile. We'll be back!

They are serving Cuban sandwiches with hardely any meat there service is horrible the waiter has to serve the food clean the tables and work the register so you sit there forever to be served and to pay your bill
