Review Curry Leaves Indian Cuisine - Tampa

Traveling from out of town and ate here. Food: it was perfect. Just enough spice for me, garlic naan flavor was spot on, nicely baked not over or under done. Service: fast, efficient and friendly!! Atmosphere: I love the funky connection to a gas station. The interior is nice, tables and booths, air temperature was cool on a hot day but not too cool for us. Takeout boxes are great. Perfect for us staying in a hotel room with a kitchen. Also as someone from out of town, it was very convenient to be across from Publix so we could pick up a few things. Accessibility: can definitely accommodate someone with mobility challenges. I will go here again!

I was told by a friend this was the most authentic Indian food you will get around. In my goodness it really was!!! I drove 45 minutes to get there, and absolutely worth every minute. I will be going back!!

It’s been many years since I had the opportunity to try this place, and it was even better than I remembered. The first time we took a chance on the tiny Indian restaurant in the BP, it looked like the inside of a Subway sandwich shop. It has come such a long way — the outdoor dining section and interior rivals similar restaurants that aren’t connected to a gas station. And the food was excellent. We live in St. Pete and have tried several places, none of which are even close to Curry Leaves. We will be returning regularly!

DELICIOUS! I came here with an Indian friend who never eats out and he gave the place his blessing. This place is located right next to a gas station so don’t let that deter you from trying this place out. Some of the best Indian food I’ve had were located at gas stations! We even sat outside and it was fine. What can I say? The food was delicious, the meats were tender and juicy. The sauces were very tasty and perfect spiciness levels. I will definitely be back!

The food is so delicious! And they have a large vegan selection. Their customer service is kind, friendly and efficient! I love the vegetable masala 💕

Just 3 words to describe this food… UH MAY ZING! I’ve been twice just in the last week, because I wanted to sample more of the menu. I gave a long way to go, since the menu is comprehensive. So much delectable food to look forward to! Their cheese naan is better than any grilled cheese you’ve ever had, especially if you use their mint and tamarind dipping sauces. Masala curry, tikka saad, butter chicken, anything biryani, is all superb! And do NOT go away without toasting with a mango lassi, Marsala chai tea and sampling a dosa. Your palate will thank you! You can’t say you’ve eaten authentic Indian food outside of India until you’ve eaten here!

OMG!!! Soooooooooo Delicious! And yup, attached to a gas station! Odd location but yummy food, great attentive staff. We sat outside. Went for lunch. Ordered an appetizer & 2 entrees with the Garlic Rosemary Naan.. I find this to be VERY Authentic as I have traveled to several areas of India. They even offer different regional dishes. Can't wait to go again & try something different. So Yummy!!!

Great food. Slow service. Strange atmosphere. Kind of expensive. The elephant in the room is that this restaurant is attached directly to a gas station. The bathrooms are in the gas station. The outdoor seating area is cramped and has wonky lighting. The food was so good, though. So, if you can deal with the funky setting and want good food, here you go.

Curry Leaves is for anyone who enjoys great food! There may be some deception when you arrive and see the restaurant from the outside- shared with a gas station. Once you go inside, the small business is clean, smells like delicious food, and is updated. The service was excellent and the servers accommodating to our large group. The menu was large and offered something for everyone with their vegan and vegetarian options. From start to finish, this Tampa restaurant offered what we are calling a well-deserved 5-star experience!

Incredible. This place is top tier. We have been a total of four (six times/*edited*) and each and every time we are just blown away by flavor. It’s crazy how every dish is mind blowing delicious filled with so much flavor. This place isn’t advertised as a vegan/vegetarian restaurant, but they have many options with any food preference. We are ultimately surprised there isn’t a huge line outside the door upon them opening their doors….because there should be! This place is so good. The location is small, but they offer indoor & outdoor seating in an intimate setting. Customer service is also a nice treat. We were greeted throughout our meal by several friendly employees helping clear our table, and asking if anything was needed, etc Curry Leaves is a gem! I know they were mentioning getting another bigger location (possibly) but there’s definitely something special about their location. Being located and connected to a gas station adds a nice quirkiness to this lovely place. The cooks here are creating beautiful dishes with amazing flavors. It’s a must try. I could eat here everyday and still find myself delighted and excited each and everyday. Everything that they create is truly tasty…from the tamarind sauces to the spicy sweet chili cauliflower to the super tender goat….the delicious garlic naan…all so good. You’ll leave full and happy wishing you had leftovers. Let my google review be enough for you to check them out!

I tried Curry Leaves for the first time last night. It's take out only right now since they are renovating, so you will get your food at the food truck to the right hand side of the building. The service was quick and efficient. The food was still hot when I got home (about a 15 minute drive) which was nice. I got the butter chicken and the Chef's Special curry. Both were really good and substantially better than most Indian food that I've had at restaurants. I'll be ordering again!

Went to this place with high expectations as many friends recommended it. All expectations met and surpassed! The service was excellent. We had no reservation and were seated in 5’. We wanted to test known dishes so we ordered some classics like Tandoori Chicken and Dosa. And then got really tempted by one of their entree specialties…every bite an explosion of many layers of flavor! Did not make it to the dessert - looking forward to being back for more! Oh, and trust your GPS - it is located on the side of a gas station.

We tried this restaurant during our trip to Tampa! Here’s what we liked: Food taste is unique and it felt fresh. Mango lassi is amazing and we went next day just to get it to-go. Aloo paratha is was similar to how my mom makes it. Improvements: Very small dinning area and long wait during weekends. You wait at a gas station 🥹 Chocolate dosa was so sweet, we couldn’t eat even 1/2 of it. Otherwise, this is a good place to have Indian food in and around Tampa downtown.

Clean restaurant with a nice casual atmosphere. The menu offers a large selection of both meat and vegetarian based dishes. Visited twice over the last few weeks and on both occasions the service was excellent. Also on both visits the food was flavorful with good textures and the spice you seek from Indian food. Chili Chicken brought the heat you would expect with the bold flavor profile. The Curry and the Ulartu provides the bold spice you expect. The tandoori grilled meats were flavorful, but seemed to lack the depth of flavor I desired. The Rosemary Garlic Naan was perfect in it's compliment for all dishes. Overall this is an Indian restaurant you can have on a normal rotation.

Every time I visit a city … I eat at the best rated Indian restaurant NYC gets all the attention … but this place was out of this world. I ordered the Kerala Chef Specialty … cooked in a coconut sauce. It’s quite possibly the best Indian dish I have eaten in the USA. Don’t mess around … go eat at this place

What a great place Curry Leaves Indian Restaurant Tampa is! It's a real hidden gem in Tampa. Being a Brit, everyone expects me to love Indian food but to be honest, I've never been a big fan of the spices. I enjoy hot and spicy food but have always had a preference for Thai or Chinese. That all changed after visiting Curry Leaves! I tried everyone's dish at the table and explored the delicate flavor nuances. Everything I had was just delicious and I can honestly say I now love Indian food and I can't wait to go back!

Best Indian buffet I have ever had in my entire life...sorrry, Mom. We tried every single dish from the Goan fish curry to the unbelievable tandoori chicken and the food was fantastic, hot and fresh and well seasoned. If I had one thing I didn't care too much for, it was the veggie korma...a little watery. And I would have liked the naan to come out blazing hot out of the oven rather than put in chafing dishes. But lamb biryani? Rich, luscious chicken tikka masala? Kerala parantha as a treat? Who sees this at a $15 buffet? The methi mutter was perfection, as was the kadai baigan...a special treat for the Punjabi in me. The staff is kind, speedy and wonderful. What an amazing place - I would come once a week if I lived here...maybe more.

Delicious traditional Indian kitchen. Had the Chicken Kadai with a creamy tomato based sauce that was outstanding. The naan was the best I have had. Will definitely be going back.

First time with both Indian food and this restaurant, very good curry. I loved the flavor profile of all the the dishes we ordered. We enjoyed the Naan bread immensely go garlic or go home!

Ate Indian food for the first time. I don't know what I ate but it was really good, over white rice. Going for the buffet one day
