Dosa Grill

I went here for a lunch buffet. There were some good options, but the food in general could have tasted better. I guess it’s a typical style of buffet around this area - there was nothing special about it. The service was pretty good. The staff were proactive in taking away empty plates and filling up water in our glasses. The place could use some more light. The mirrors they had in the dining area wasn’t kept clean. The dining table was also not really well maintained. It had lots of streaks of water mark, like it was wiped in a hurry.

After getting my car serviced, I was in the mood for Indian Food. Dosa Grill popped up in my search results and I decided to give the restaurant a shot. I arrived to the restaurant around 1145 which was close to when they opened. To my amazement there was quite a variety number of piping hot dishes to choose from at the buffet. During my visit, I had the Garlic Naan, Onion Chutney, Chicken Tikka Marsala, Chicken Tandoori, Chicken Kadai, Chicken Biryani, Mango Custard, Rice Pudding, and Mango Lassi. All of these dishes tasted great. And I went up to grab a few more plates. Now, there are a few unsatisfied reviews from people who have ordered take out. But reviewing Dosa Grill as a sit in customer, I have no complaints. The staff is pretty attentive and the food comes out fairly quickly. Also, the lunch buffet is a pretty good option if you have a big group because the price per person at Dosa Grill is pretty reasonable at $13. So if you are ever in the Syracuse area or have never tried Indian Food, take a chance on Dosa Grill. I'm sure that you'll leave satisfied.

This is one of the best places for South indian food. Their service is on point. Quite hospitable and truthful servers. The food was very quickly served, and it was fresh and hot. Their dosa was perfectly made. Sambar and green chutney were nice. They also remade our curry as we needed it to be spicier. They also have a special menu. Do try it. Buffets on weekends.

There is a reason this place has so many reviews, I’ve eaten take out many times before but never sat in because of time restraints. I judge Indian spots by the care they put into their buffets. Good buffet almost always indicates good dinners and entrees. This buffet is wonderful and worth it and the food is always top notch. Parking is always tight, come early.
