Loved it. I ordered the Optimus Prime Sandwich and it was delicious. The bread was very high quality and the meat was tender and very flavorful. The gentleman behind the counter was really helpful in helping me to decide what to choose. He was patient and didn't look annoyed. He even gave me a free soda since it was my first time eating there! The decor is cool and eclectic - it looks somewhat like a 50's diner. It was super clean...you could tell these people really care about the impression their restaurant gives to customers. I also had the poblano potato salad which was just okay (it could've used a little more salt and just more flavor...poblano added just a hint of kick but overall, it lacked flavor). The sandwich more than made up for it! I definitely see why the reviews are so complimentary and why it's so highly rated. I definitely recommend this gem of a restaurant!

I am visiting Syracuse and found Darwin via google. They asked me if I was a first time customer and greeted me warmly when I said yes. They walked me through the whole menu, the concept of the restaurant itself and gave me a free fountain drink for being a first time customer. The atmosphere and decor is charming. The veggie sandwich was delicious! Loved it.

The staff was extremely nice and friendly. The food came out within 5 minutes and the food was really good. My picky eater gf even liked this person. She suggests half portion options for customers with smaller appetites. Overall this place was impressive.

The best place for lunch downtown! Fresh and creative ingredients that support other local businesses, with a contagious positive atmosphere among employees. I've never had to wait even when they're swamped.

First time and it was hopping; for good reason. Fun array of sandiwches that change with the tide(probably), Darwins offers a good array of sammies/wraps all organized by protein. Coming in from Jax, FL this reminded me of Chomp Chomp with the fun take on seemingly traditional sandwiches. Everyone seemed to know somebody and business was steady. Service was quick and welcoming. Would definitely go again before I leave

Okay i can now understand the reviews. 🙂 Were visiting from Australia and happen to stumble upon this gem on trip advisor. The food was good, it tastes like it was made with love and they really made sure we are cared for in there. I had the catfish sandwich and the potato salad. Normally i cant finish sandwiches but this was too yummy i ate the whole thing. More power and love to the staff and their meals. Thank you for having us in your shop!
