So, this place has a lot of love it or hate it reviews... But I'll just say that the food was absolutely delicious. And the service was quick and to the point. Not particularly friendly, also not rude. Just very efficient and to the point. Welcome, here's your table, here's menus, take your oder, here's your food. If you aren't into small talk and pleasantries, love salty Chinese food that's fresh... This place is for you. Will Def go again if I'm back in Syracuse.
Incredibly authentic dishes with absolute freshest ingredients. We highly recommend the eggplant in garlic sauce, spicy beef noodle soup (spicy with chewy noodles), Mapo tofu (spicy) and sliced beef in pepper sauce. Recommend going for the authentic side of the menu, versus the American-Chinese style dishes. However we did try the sesame chicken and it was crispy and well seasoned, not soggy and over-sweet, better than all takeout places! Everything comes with a large bowl of rice. Super affordable and ginormous portions. Will come here again and again!

This is a regular spot for my husband and me because the food is amazing! The service is always good, I love the atmosphere and it's always clean. The menu is divided by Traditional Chinese food and American Chinese food and the food from both sections is amazing. We are both vegetarian and have never struggled to find a meal here. SO AMAZING. GO HERE!!!

This restaurant is in the old location of 'The Bagel Shop' on Warren Street. I honestly can't figure out why this place is not 'wall - to - wall' with people for lunch. I usually go there for lunch take out and I'm in and out like a flash. The take out portions are fantastic too. I am always stuffed when I finish my delicious meal.
Tang Flavor also has to be one of the cleanest establishments I have seen in the downtown area as well. I highly recommend this restaurant and wish more people start going there to eat. I would really miss this place if it closed from lack of customers.
This place has pretty good food. I’ve been there twice and I really love the simmering style combos. The quality is acceptable and I like the two sided menu with “American” and “traditional” dishes. Make sure to order anything with shrimp, which is done very well here.
This is probably my favorite fast eating place in all Syracuse, and I've been here a good 7 or so times since Feb. The young woman behind the counter is sweet and patient, and the prices! Lunch is choose fried rice or lo main noodles, and they give you a huge serving of it. Then 1/2/3 meats for 5/6/7 bucks plus tax. Best deal you'll find around for quantity, and the quality is actually quite top notch.
All I can say it's the best bargain for lunch. I've never had a problem. Always tasty ,I always take white rice as I don't care for their fried rice .
Very good authentic Chinese food, the pork was fantastic! The only downside to dining in was how quiet it was. No ambient music was when I went on a Saturday evening, so eating alone in-house may feel awkward for some. Despite that, very prompt service and good food would bring me back next time I visit the library right around the corner!
Best Chinese food in downtown Syracuse. Perfect flavor, excellent serving sizes, great quality. Anyone that says a little bone in the food is a reason to not go back is stupid. If you dont go to this restaurant because of a nit-picky review, you're missing out.
