Le Boulanger, Inc

I visited for lunch with a co-worker. I'd never been before, but my boss had given me a gift card here, so I decided to check it out. I had a hot, toasted sandwich, which was acceptable, but nothing to write home about. There was nothing particularly impressive (either about the bread or anything else) about Le Boulanger, compared to the plethora of other sandwich places. Additionally, the sandwich was shockingly small, considering the price they charge for it. The location has a certain vintage charm, with exposed pipes and stuff around the ceiling. I thought it was kind of cute. However, while I was sitting in the dining room eating, a RAT ran across the room, up along the pipes around the ceiling. It was clearly and unmistakably a rat: larger, and with a thicker tail than a mouse. Not that the precise difference between the species of rodent really matters when you're trying to enjoy your meal. Unbelievable!! I don't think I will be returning to this establishment! Anyone want to buy a couple of gift cards? I don't think I'll be needing them anymore. Panera Bread and/or The Don's Deli are both better choices for quality and value. If price is more important than quality, Togo's is the way to go. As a bonus, none of them have rats in the dining room.

For a place that is a bakery it has a pretty mediocre quality baked goods. And the coffee is so so as well. I've been there a few times and tried some breakfast sandwiches and scones and some other stuff. The last time I've visited it seemed the place was undergoing some renovations, so let's hope it's getting better.

The sandwiches here are very high quality. They have very tasty options and they are only slightly more expensive than typical fast food sandwich shops. One of the best parts of the experience is that there are giant windows that overlook a bakery area where bread and rolls of various types are constantly being mixed, divided and risen - fun to watch!
