Zanotto's

This is one of the best, if not the best grocery stores in the Bay Area. The highlights are their meat, pasta, produce, deli and wine. I live mere blocks from a Safeway and a Lucky's but I'll drive miles out of my way to shop here. If you really like good food this is the place to buy what's necessary to cook it.

I’ve tried sandwiches here twice and then greatly disappointed both times. (and warning the peppers on the order sheet are spicy banana peppers not the green peppers one would expect — I can’t believe why they would surprise you like that with spicy pain.) However their homemade tortilla chips are the real deal. Edit: how can they close at 8? That’s soooooooooooooooooo early.

I am an American Italian and very fussy about all Italian foods and products. Don't waste your time on other Pasta Sauces - YOU MUST BUY MUTTI Pasta Sauce(s), straight from Italy. It is the closest thing to my grandmother's recipe, ever. Thrilled to find a beautiful and delicious jar sauce such as these. I will be buying MUTTI Pasta Sauce for years to come, and I have no problem leaving all the others behind. Each ingredient in MUTTI sauce is the finest from Italy with no additives. A Final Note: Been shopping at Zanotto's in Sunnyvale for the last 8 years. The Piedmontese Beef, Fresh Fish and Perfect produce are the finest quality and worth every cent. And ACME Ciabatta Bread - the best ever. Special shoutout to Dani, one of the managers I have come to know and a big woop woop Kudo to Carlos the master butcher!
