We've been going to the Sunnyvale farmer's market for about 23 years on most Saturdays. We always finish our visit with a trip to the Bean Scene Cafe. There are many new options for coffee bars in downtown Sunnyvale but we still like this one best. The owners and employees are super friendly, the coffee is good and we love the ambiance. It's at the heart of the farmer's market on Murphy St. which is an extra bonus if you like to sit outside. Saturdays just aren't the same without our trip to the Bean Scene. :-)
Great place ! I would say old-school downtown cafe with amazing espresso, good sandwiches, cool "chicken bake" and empanadas, and crepes. What I would like to note specially, it is atmosphere maintained by great people, which are really adding additional value to half-hour of my life when I have some time to have cup of espresso. What else - nice music ( maybe just regular radio, not sure), cool collaboration program with local art club: completely different works from watercolor to photos are continuously taking some place on walls of cafe and in my heart ( and my Instagram). Not big choice of deserts comparing with cafe in Vienna or SF/Moscow, but I like mideastern "baklava" with my espresso.
The location of the cafe adds to the quality of food here, although the portion size is a little small for the price. The mocha and veggie crepe are delicious.
My favorite local coffee place, with food and baked goods too. I've been coming here for years. Family owned, great service. So great the mayor of Sunnyvale is a regular and holds meetings here.
Got the sugar free chilled vanilla latte and a set 1 breakfast (ham, eggs, bacon & croissant) & mimosa. The coffee was great! The eggs were tasty with the cheese. The bacon was crispy (too crunchy for me). The ham was okay. The croissant was the best & the mimosa was pretty good. The service was great.
Another caffeine stop in Sunnyvale, great choices of coffee, casual ambiance with good food and drinks. Definitely coming back for more
Almond cappuccino: not good. I liked the vibe of the place and enjoyed the cakes. But not this almond cappuccino. Tasted like some sort of syrup 😐 will definitely try it again to see if something is wrong with the way someone made it or that's how it is.
Live this place! Best staff and yummy coffee. They also offer a lot of breakfast and lunch items. Everything I’ve tried so far has been great. We love Nancy!
Good coffee, nice atmosphere and a good selection of pastries. They open early, something some other shops don't do. I will probably visit this shop a few more times during my stay.
