The wife and I visited for a light lunch just as the snow was starting to fall in Staunton. We each had a glass of wine and a grilled cheese sandwich. The service was fantastic with only one server tending to quite a few patrons. She was fantastic and friendly. The food was great as well. We will definitely be back.
Truly the best grilled cheese sandwiches ever! They have drinks for EVERYONE!! The entire staff is friendly and Nancy the owner is the sweetest. Clean restaurant and delicious food, what more could you ask for?!
Great atmosphere, extensive wine selection and the grilled cheese along with other appetizers are very tasty. The staff is very friendly and the service is great. This is a wonderful place to make great memories. Add this to your must visit list, you will be glad you did.
I've been here multiple times, but this review is based on my visit on 1/07/21. For starters, the staff here is always super friendly and on top of things, and today Sarah was our server. We ordered "The Dragon Hook" plate which includes Red Dragon English cheddar (infused with mustard & ale), Deer Creek Wisconsin aged cheddar, apples, walnuts, pretzels, sweet pickles, and on top of that, we added charcuterie. Throw in a couple of nice white wines and it was the perfect late snack after a big breakfast and spending time shopping in downtown Staunton.
We had the best time at Yelping Dog Wine during a recent visit to Staunton. YD has such a great atmosphere, and we loved the outdoor seating! They had a very nice wine selection and the customer service was outstanding! Can’t wait to go back again!
I was in Staunton for the first time with amazing friends. We had the best time at Yelping Dog Wine. My friends all had wine and wine slushy and I enjoyed the seltzer smoothies. We also enjoyed appetizers that were delicious. The atmosphere was wonderful and we enjoyed sitting outside. The entire staff was friendly and accommodating. I will definitely go back anytime I am in Staunton.
We had a nice experience Saturday evening, enjoying a few glasses of wine with some cheese and charcuterie. Kathleen, our server, was great - efficient, friendly and just the right amount of attentive. Kudos
We were in from out of state and looking for somewhere to spend an afternoon. We wandered into Yelping Dog and I accidentally bought a few pounds of cheese. The employees working with the cheese gave me so much guidance, let me sample a few, and then talked me through pairing. I ended up with: Red Dragon, Meadow Creek Grayson, Lambchopper, Belletoile Brie, Clawson Stilton, and Drunken Goat. I really couldn't give any recommendations since they are all very unique and everyone's tastes vary so much, but I 100% recommend checking it out if you're in the area. All of that cheese, some crackers, a few glasses of wine and beer came to (pre-tip) $109.52.
