We stopped in at this sports bar on our way home from St. Louis. Be sure and try a bloody mary, the pickle is a flavorful surprise. We started with chips and salsa. I'm super picky about salsa, and trust me they make theirs fresh! The Italian Beef sandwich was a bit of heaven in my mouth. The bartender suggested provolone on it, and the recommendation was spot on. The sandwich came with homemade chips. The Monday special was 1/2 price pizza which are made in their stone ovens. If we had the time and stomach for it, we'd have eaten our way through the menu. We will be back to try the wings, the hand breaded tenderloin and pizza even if it is not a Monday. If you are a tot fan, they have 'em. Our Tito and Captain Morgan drinks were not short changed on alcohol. The bartender was very friendly and humerous. We sat at the bar rail and the owner even took a moment to personally visit with us.

My mom and I went for the corned beef and cabbage. Definitely worth it. Real food prepared like you'd make it at home. Our server was friendly and helpful. We'll be back.
We tried another restaurant tonight and it was an hour wait, so we found this gem on Google reviews. We’re so glad we did! Our family of 5 (3 kids under 13) all enjoyed this place and the staff was super friendly. Clean bathrooms, great service, and the food was amazing! Seriously, everyone really enjoyed what they got and we were all trying each other’s orders. Would highly recommend!!
Awesome food , pineapple upside down cake drink was amazing and our waitress was the best!!
The Menu on Google Maps is out of date. All they are serving is appetizers, sandwiches and salads. But the Southwestern Salad with the Seasoned beef is great (even without salad dressing.)
We ordered the bacon and cheddar stuffed burger with more bacon and cheddar on top. I honestly have never had a better burger anywhere! It was cooked to perfection and the flavor was phenomenal.
Came here because other restaurants were closed and so glad we did — our family (including picky teens) enjoyed the pretzel rolls, shoe, southwest salad, chefs pride burger and tater tots, plus friendly service. Definitely recommend.
Nice place. The fish was a touch overdone which made it dry-ish. There was a bit more salt on the food than I prefer. Friendly staff. Good beer selection. I'd give it a try again with a different food selection. As a whole nice place.
Usually when we come over from Indianapolis to visit family, we go to Darcy's Pint but they were closed at 5pm on Sunday. (Both Google and their website says open til 6pm, so that was pretty unprofessional.) I'm glad they weren't open or else we wouldn't have came to The Barrel Head! There were only a few patrons at the bar so the bartender let us pick any table and immediately got us drinks. Of course, my boyfriend and I couldn't visit Springfield without getting a horseshoe. (Pony for me because I can't finish the horseshoe!) He got a burger and I got the grilled chicken, and it was delicious. Their fries alone were awesome, but the cheese sauce made them even better. 5 stars
