I visited Pacific Kitchen as part of my ongoing quest for my 'favorite" inexpensive Chinese food in Springfield. I was not disappointed whatsoever. The building seems to be a remodeled Captain D's location but combined with the name and light fixtures it actually kind of evokes a beachy mood. The entry and order counter is simply functional, but the dining room was clean and had a decent ambiance. Service was good on my visit. For the price, this food definitely beat all of its competitors I've tried. It was delicious food and you could tell it was made fresh, so I certainly didn't mind a few minutes' longer wait than expected. I had the orange chicken and it had a good mix of vegetables and perfect rice. Also, the sauce was excellent. The crowning glory of the meal, however, was the crab rangoon! PERFECT in my opinion. Best I've had in awhile; very oniony and savory filling with a light, crisp texture on the outside. My husband ordered a side of chicken wings, which made me laugh but he said they were good. I will most definitely return!

12/20/2018 My first time here, I had the cashew chicken all white meat and water. Total was approx. 5.40 and I'm happy with that. Cashier was friendly, There is plenty of seating, bathroom & returaunt were both clean. Food, wonderful! Hot, delicious, and a big serving. I did not finish everything on my plate. I will definitely eat here again.

Good food. Will make food without MSG if asked. Can get steamed rice if you prefer over fried rice. Give kind and friendly customer service. Has some dinner daily specials at reasonable prices. My understanding is that October 31, 2019 was their last day of business. They said they are closing permanently.

The wait staff can be slow at times, but I've never had a messed up order in the drive thru or other wise. If they had another person working up front they'd be fine. The food is the best for the price in town by far. The fried chicken in the dishes is moist and fresh and the sauces are great. Portions are big, and sides are well made and always fresh. Highly recommended.

Been great every time I go in. I have not had a bad experience here yet. The decoure is a bit old, more like late 90s early 00s Chinese restaurant. (it is a Chinese restaurant) just feel like it could have a few updates, nothing crazy. The tables don't match across the restaurant, There are 3 distinct table sets (maybe it's a cultural thing, as the owners are of Asian descent) though some of the tables epoxy coat is pretty worn, and it's splitting on some of the tables. Nothing I would be to concerned with, just referring back to "could have a few updates." The price is great. The plate I got was $4.83 with a water. Perfect price range for someone like myself in college always looking for a good, filling meal, that isn't insanely unhealthy for me. I'm a pretty big dude, weighing in around 230 pounds and the regular is almost too much food for me. If you're looking for a great place to eat, sit down and listen to fairly modern pop music, has a decent atmosphere in the restaurant. Then I would have to highly recommend this place.

Been going here for 8 years twice a week and had family come down just to eat here. Until this last week I would have given it 6 stars. The only down side was it took a little bit for your food because if was made fresh unlike a lot where everything is already made and they just throw it together. I had to drop to a 4 star because the amount and the quality went down under new owner. I am willing to given it one more try but if it is still not to the old standards than I will be moving on.
