This was dining at its best. Beautiful building. Good ambiance. The food and service deserve 5 ☄+. Our server, Albert was informative, and entertaining, top notch service. I will return when I am in the area... no, I will make a point of traveling from Peoria to eat here again. Fantastic experience.
This the best place to eat. Wonderful food and a great atmosphere. Sam is not only the owner, but he also works closely helping his staff. Try the leg of lamb. Fall off the bone tender. Yummy.
The best Lamb in the area.
A group of friends and I had Sunday brunch at Mariah's today. There was awesome buffet selection of breakfast and lunch foods including carving station with prime rib, omelet and Belgian waffles made to order and $5 mimosa or Bloody Mary. It is a little higher price for buffet ($20) but the quality and quantity of selections make it well worth it . Comfortable and very friendly atmosphere. We came early (just after 10 am) and there was no waiting . Support local business and try it. You will not be disappointed.
Picked this restaurant solely from Urbanspoon reviews. Food was excellent and reasonably priced.
Despite the awkward hunting-lodge decor, Mariah's delivers a surprisingly comfortable and upscale dining experience. The food was absolutely amazing; easily the best I've had in Springfield, and while the atmosphere does leave something to be desired the wait staff were quick, courteous, and competent. Dinner for two came to about $70.
WOW!. What a great place!!
My family and I went here for dinner a few days ago. We had a party of 8 and the food was spectacular, and the atmosphere was so delightful. And I love how its so very different from anything in Springfield. The service was amazing.
Seriously, great place!
Sam the owner works hard to make sure you have a great meal at this place named after his daughter. Not just Italian food. Also great steaks and breakfast on the weekends. The buffalo chicken is a favorite of mine.
Yumm Yumm!. Oh boy after a bad evening at another restaurant, we came here instead (looking for Italian) and boy did we find it! Fantastically friendly staff, knowledgeable about their menu items, and great food. Entrees come with fresh baked crusty bread, and a mixed greens salad with Italian dressing, (endless and no extra charge!). On the night we went the Ribeye steak was half price, Only $13 for a 14oz (ish) steak and two side dishes (vegetables, baked potato or mash or many other choices).
My dinner was fresh tortellini (cheese) with bits of ham and peas in a lovely fresh alfredo sauce. (you can also add either shrimp or chicken for an extra charge) It was really good, and really fresh. For dessert I had a lovely thick and decadent chocolate mousse. It came in a large brandy snifter type stemware glass and had a good 1/2" of dark chocolate ganache on top. Fan-tas-tic! So chocolate-y so light and fresh.
Overall everyone was happy with their meal at our table and I could not have been happier. A great ending to the day!
Mariah's is great! Very nice atmosphere. And relaxing. ;)
Excellent meal! Outstanding service and lovely atmosphere. Mitch, our waiter, was great! I had a strip steak and lobster ravioli. The hubs had a rib eye and lobster tail. All were perfectly cooked just the way we ordered them. We spent close to $100 but it was our anniversary so we splurged a little. No alcohol and we were too full for dessert. You will enjoy every bite at Mariah's. Not to be missed.
Me and my wife were looking for a place to take our three children out for dinner so we decided to try Mariah’s. At first, we felt a bit out of our element because Mariah’s clientele is so nice and the restaurant is very classy. We were worried the kids would be too much. However, from start to finish our server Ben (I believe this is his name!) was very accommodating of our family and made us feel very welcome. The service was excellent and the food was some of the best I have ever eaten. After we finished our meal we were ready to pay when Ben told us we had no bill. Apparently a couple that was sitting across from us decided to pick up our check! My wife was on the verge of tears. I wanted to post this and say thank you Mariah’s for one of the best meal experiences we ever had. Phenomenal across the board. And wherever that couple is that bought our meal, God bless you and thank you. We will never forget this experience!
If I could leave 10 stars, I would. It was our first time dining here.
We had a party of 8 last night, for Father's Day (6/19/22). Mitch was our waiter and he was the absolute best waiter I've had. ANY Michelin starred restaurant would be thrilled to have him. He was very attentive and on top of everything, at all times.
I ordered my fillet mid rare and although I was happy with it, the owner came out and said he thought it was a little overdone and already had another on the grill for me.
Our reservation was at 7pm, even though they closed at 8pm. I apologized to the owner and he was amazingly dismissive and said they prepare for parties to run late and for us to stay as long as we wanted.
This place isn't some cheap, chain restaurant. You're ordering special cut steaks and very fine dining. If you get upset that you're special order food isn't out in 20 minutes, this isn't the place for you.
Excellent food and service. The low lighting and seating near the fire makes for a truly romantic ambience. Will definitely return!
Ample parking and seating was fairly quick. Waiters were attentive and kind. This spot was more casual and I felt a little overdressed but had a great time eating their delicious steak. Owner came by and greeted us which was very personable of him. Would definitely come here again!
Service was friendly and helpful on the spot, and kept their eyes out for every need. Great communication. Felt welcomed from start to finish. Super clean bathrooms, even has a sign encouraging using a paper towel to open the door after washing hands. The menu and meals themselves were excellent. Bar is cozy and everything is upkept. Best restaurant experience out of many across country. Great work!
Atmosphere was matching to the mood within the restaurant. No annoying florescent lights. Kind on the eyes, and perfect temperature.
We were 8 guys for a business dinner here. All the service and quality of the food overexceeded our expectations. Their apetizers were not better or worse, all were watering the mouth. Italian spices and tastes.. artichok spread was delicious. I had the best filet mignon ever here, tender, juicy, aged! Also their bartender loves his job, obviously. He offered us a bourbon flight which perfectly fit our dinner. The owner's service was also very appreciated. Sam is a nice guy and he know what he is doing!! I will be pleased to come in next time when in Springfield!
