I had the pleasure of dining at Afghan Bistro an Afghan restaurant that truly celebrates the rich, diverse flavors of Afghanistan. From the moment I stepped in, I was greeted with warm, inviting aromas and a welcoming atmosphere.
The menu was a delightful journey through traditional Afghan cuisine.
For the main course, I opted for the Kabuli Palaw, a national dish of Afghanistan. This aromatic lamb , garnished with raisins and carrots, was cooked to perfection. The lamb was tender and succulent, beautifully complemented by the sweet and nutty flavors of the rice. It was a dish that truly showcased the depth and complexity of Afghan spices and cooking techniques.
The service at was impeccable. The staff was knowledgeable, attentive, and genuinely passionate about sharing their culture through food. They recommended dishes and were more than happy to explain the ingredients and preparation methods.
Afghan bistro is a must-visit for anyone looking to explore the rich culinary landscape of Afghanistan. The food is authentic, flavorful, and lovingly prepared, the ambiance is cozy and inviting, and the service is excellent.
Had a great dinner at Afghan Bistro! The staff and owner were very friendly and have good recommendations. I ordered the chicken karahi because it was a spicier dish which was good. The chicken was marinated and cooked well and there was a lot of curry given. I didn’t really taste any spice but still good. Other dishes that were ordered were rumis chicken, lamb shoulder chops and juicy chicken thighs.
When we were seated bread and dips were provided. The bread was really good and the three dips given were all different which gave a nice variety. Overall this was a good spot!
Wow! Such a great food and super nice staff with great suggestions and so polite. You really get a taste of Afghan culture with the decorations and style of the place. They accommodate vegan, vegetarian, and gluten free. They even brought carrots for dipping in place of the bread. I highly recommend them. Beautiful plate display and the food is above and beyond. Very clean and they wear gloves to clean and also change the gloves every time.
My second time was nice, but I removed a start cause I didn’t realize the place has a bar in the middle. A bar does not belong in a family friendly restaurant.
This is an out of the way spot worth visiting. It's in a nondescript building with plenty of free parking but what really helps is how your made to feel when entering. Everyone is welcoming and shows true appreciation. It's a decent sized restaurant with a comfortable setting and nice decor. The food is great. We started off with the hot Mazza assortment (assorted appetizers) and everything was delicious. I ate the lamb duo and found it equally delicious (I cleaned my plate). My wife loved her lamb shank moghuli.
This place is a must-try. It feels like a hideaway place and is off the beaten path. Parking is free which I always appreciate. From the moment we went in and through the evening we felt welcomed and had great service. The atmosphere is very relaxing and comfortable. Finally, all the food we had was great. I had the chicken aracosian, which was delicious and so plentiful I couldn't finish it. My wife had the chicken saffron, and my son had the veal moghuli.
This was the second time I have enjoyed Afghan food. I wanted to introduce my sons to Afghan food and they enjoyed it very much. I loved it the first time at another restaurant and loved it even more this time. It is my favorite ethnic food now. The assorted dumpling appetizer was delicious and the lamb tenderloin dinner was perfect.
Qe were passing through from Florida looking for a restaurant close by and stumbled on Afghan Bistro with amazing rating. Great atmosphere. Very welcoming and attentive staff. Food was so fresh flavorful. Our tastebuds were dancing💃 The waiter welcomed us with fresh warm bread and dipping sauces which was so good. The sampling appetizer was delicious. Waiter recommended the lamb shank with saffron rice which fell off the bone and melted in your mouth. We will definitely be back on our way back home to Florida. It's a must!!!
What a great hidden gem afghan bistro is! I've dined in and carried out. The carry out which was a chicken and beef combo with chick peas had lots of flavor and a very good value because of the better quality.
The saffron chicken was one of my favorites, it had the right amount of zest and spices for it to be refreshing (add a lemon squeeze for even more tang).
Entrees come with fresh bread and sauces also a plus! The service was pleasant and friendly and I would recommend to everyone who enjoys good quality food and service
P.S if you like pumpkin you'll love the pumpkin dumplings! Give those a try for sure!
The food is just as amazing as the atmosphere and service. It’s hard to choose which one was best. The pumpkin dumplings are a must with any entree.
Amazing experience! I got the Vegan Flight. It’s a vegan sampler. So good!! The staff was great with recommendations and very personable. There is an entire vegan menu separate from the main menu. They have a large vegetarian menu at the end of their main menu as well. One of the best dinners I’ve ever had.
This is only the second google review I’ve ever left(!), but this place deserves it because this restaurant is truly special. We visited on Thanksgiving eve and the staff went above and beyond to accommodate our group - accommodated an extra person in our party, moved us to a table away from the door, and took extra care to ensure that food allergies (peanuts) were vetted. Aside from the service being super attentive (better than most high end dining), the quality of the food is phenomenal. Every single dish was delicious and executed perfectly- some of the best meat stew and rice I’ve ever had. Don’t be fooled by the modest exterior - this place is top notch. Thank you to the staff for being so wonderful and accommodating 🙏🙏🙏
