Fruti Taco

Came to this place thinking it would be good . Let me reassure everyone ... NOT GOOD AT ALL! Very very very bad service . Lady was talking away made me wait a good 5-10 minutes while she spoke on the phone ! Food was disgusting ... didn’t taste like carne Asada! I called to complain and lady kept hanging up on me telling me that I can’t blame her food ! So I went to get a refund and she had the money handed to me from outside because she locked me out ... very bad experience . Disgusting food. Save your money for a real taco shop people .

Just drove by and saw that it's open again finally. Now this review cannot speak to the quality, but hopefully it's as good as it was before it closed! I'll update my review or post another one as soon as I try it. Update: This place is called Fruti Tacos. The old place was Fruti Taco, I know subtle difference, but once inside you will see this equates to a BIG difference. The new Fruti Tacos appears to be owned by Asians. There is of course no problem with that, but the last placed was run/owned by Mexicans. There are no more cool drinks and desserts. The place is remodeled but seems so much the same as it was before. The menu seems, how do I say, dry. Not sure how better to phrase it, but it's not engaging. There are barely any items on it and it's laid out funny, not how you would expect an authentic Mexican restaurant to look. When we walked in, and discovered it was not the place we had missed for so long, we should have walked out. But, I wanted to give it a shot, and I wanted it to be the same exact place that closed awhile ago. I couldn't decide, and I really think it was the layout of the menu. So I ended up with a Chicken Baja Bowl. I expected myself to not like it, but I was pleasantly surprised and loved it. While we were there, several people came in and immediately left -- I think they were also looking for the original Fruti Taco. :( I wish the best for them, but the other 2 items we ordered were not that great. Street Tacos and Rolled Tacos. In other words, nothing sets this place apart from the regular taco shops and Mexican food places we visit. Getting in and out of the parking lot has always been a challenge, and now I think it's just not worth it.
