Zip's Drive In

Last two times haven't been great, decided to give another chance because the kids really wanted their chicken strips. They came raw. I am not certain how, as I thought they were pre cooked but they were raw, pink and rubbery. The 5 mile location has gone down hill for sure. Response from the owner 29 minutes ago I don’t think you are leaving a review for the correct location as the meat is cooked before it gets breaded at the factory Not sure why I can't respond directly, but it was the 5 mile location. I have the receipt from door dash. Not sure why it happened or how, but it did.

We ordered fish and chips and shrimp and chips. The fish came as three very small pieces. The shrimp was pretty average. The fries tasted like they had been sitting a while. They definitely did not meet freshness standards. We have always liked Zips, but the quality of their food, in our opinion, has been going downhill over the last few years. Prices have been climbing and the cost versus value has declined significantly as well--which seemed super apparent in our recent experience. I am not sure we will keep coming back.

I sat I n line for 20 minutes after ordering. After I left I ate a French fry that was stone cold. Figured I would nuke them when I got home. Got home and they gave me the wrong sandwich. A stone cold dry chicken sandwich instead of a hot ham and cheese. I tried to call and they would not answer the phone. Tried 3 more times and got busy signal. It is still 6 minutes before they close and they are ignoring the phone and probably took it off the hook.

I had a horrible experience at this zips. I usually go to the one on Monroe and haven’t had any problems. A few days ago I went there and got chicken strips and the whole thing was covered in seasoning salt. I politely went back to exchange it and the manager was very rude and unprofessional. She used the excuse that is the seasoning they use, but the whole thing was poured on there. The whole place just seemed off by the workers and the professionalism. I will definitely not be going back to that Zips.

Assumes the absolute worst about the guest. We parked in the parking lot and we had our dog with us and we got out of the car and put our dog in his leash when we were accosted by some random zips employee yelling at us from her car. She tells us that we cannot park there if we aren’t going to eat there. At this point we were walking around to the dog treat place and we were going to come back and eat at zips. We were very upset that she assumed the worst about us and couldn’t believe that she didn’t just ask us if we were gonna eat there. She chose to yell and berate us for parking in her lot though we were going to eat there. She was unprofessional and rude. This woman needs to understand how to treat guests if she is going to work in any form of retail.
