Civilian Brewing Corps

A charming restaurant near Mccormicks creek state park. They have a list of their beers while all sounded good but we did not get any since we went a bit early in the day. The large pretzel was excellent and came with dipping sauces which were also great. You can top the Mac and cheese with a list of options, we chose the pulled pork. It comes without any sauce so we asked for some BBQ on the side and WOW! It was spectacular. We will definitely be back when we’re in the area.

These place is very laid back. I enjoyed the food and let me tell you that it was delicious. Elegantly displayed meal with the metal sauce cups. I had the grilled cheese with bacon which I didn't know existed 😥. 😢 you have changed me with that sandwich 😂. Thank you for the hospitality my bartender was a sweetheart. I will definitely have to eat here again I highly recommend this place.

A pretty small menu but everything on it is pretty good. The staff are really knowledgeable of the drinks and were very helpful at finding one you'll like from their selection. The food comes out promptly and fresh every time. Its biggest flaw is how noisy the atmosphere is. There's no sound barriers in a fully open and echoing eating area. The chairs scrape loudly on the cement floors, people's voices echo off the walls, and the clanking of silverware can be absolutely overwhelming. The restaurant and the restrooms are always very clean. The spacing between tables is great. And the location itself looks very nice. They just desperately need some sound dampeners.

Great establishment for the location! Service was during a slow period just before early early dinner rush. Waitress was attentive and responsive. The 4 instead of 5 comes from the burger which was pressed wafer then and cooked until it was well overdone, causing it to be dry and sub-standard for something named The Standard. Fries were cooked to absolute perfection and the presentation is something I didn't think I'd find in this sleepy part of Indiana. Beers were varied and delicious but nothing stood out as mind blowing or unique as far as craft beer goes. This place overall was quite a shock and I'll definitely be back when they rotate the taps!

Camping at McCormick and stopped in for lunch with the wife, great little spot with friendly service and good food. Now my only knock is being Cuban and finding a spot selling a Cuban sandwich is cool but this was NO where near one(dry and bread too hard). I know you put your own lil twist on it but I suggest don’t and give the folks something authentic.
