Island Times cafe at Deep Point Marina is a great place to support coming to or from Bald Head Island. The food is delicious and tastes homemade, and definitely worth the stop. My favorite, favorite item on the menu is their breakfast casserole. It is sooo good! It’s a must to eat with hot sauce. Hubby and I also had the coconut cake during our last visit in Oct. It certainly won’t be the last!
Very kind staffs here and my strawberry banana smoothie is on point! Clean bathrooms and a wide open sitting room with comfy chairs! To top that off the view while waiting… I can get use to this!
Mouth watering smells envelope the pier as we waited to board led us here. The nose knows, this food was scrumptious & the view..... Breath taking. Even if you don't ride the ferry this cafe serves up great food ALL DAY. It was so good I couldn't stop eating to take a picture!!come for the veiw Stay , repeat, for the food .
Stopped in with my wife after a week at Baldhead Island on September 17, 2022. We were coming off the ferry and did not want to wait in a restaurant in town. I had a French toast sandwich with bacon egg and cheddar cheese. I was shocked at how good the food was. Service was excellent. It was A privately held family business and we met the owners. Amazing assortment of homemade cheesecakes and great food. Great place to eat especially if you’re going to or from Baldhead Island on the ferry. Don’t miss it.It will also take the stress out of your commute back-and-forth to the island. Carl and Ruth Deaton
Our hotel in Southport, N.C., near the ferry, does not have a restaurant on site. We took a day trip via ferry to Bald Head Island and had a quick breakfast at the cafe at the Southport departure. My wife and I had breakfast sandwiches which were delicious. Mine was sausage, egg, and cheese on a croissant that was perfect. The order came quickly and the sandwiches were hot, and a generous size. Topped off with a small bottle of orange juice. A perfect meal to start the day.
I am a group tour operator and just had a bus of 29 people visit Bald Head Island. I reached out to the restaurant after doing a Google search and Tim contacted me back very quickly. We arranged boxed lunches for the group, that they bagged up so the group could take them on the ferry and on to the island for a picnic. The lunches were reasonably priced, it included a drink, and the group was very pleased with it. Staff was very helpful and accommodating to the groups needs. They even threw in some hot fresh cookies for them to enjoy. They offer a great menu with a lot of variety and delicious options. And they have a bakery with some fantastic choices!!
This is a must stop… whether a visitor or ESPECIALLY if you’re a local!!! The menu and portions are awesome. Locals/visitors- you can park in the lots for FREE (if under 2 hrs I think…dbl check me on that but it’s very generous and plenty of time for here). Breakfast all day. Delicious lunch (crab cakes are awesome btw). Adult beverages, deluxe deserts, great atmosphere, and great people. We’re big fans, obviously. Check it out!
Hidden gem! My husband and I were just waiting on the ferry and wandered upstairs for the view. Stumbled upon Island Times! Truly such a find.
The chicken pesto wrap was actually the best I’ve ever tasted!
This is a must stop and do when you're waiting on the ferry out to Bald Head Island. This little café offers beer and wine, snacks, sandwiches cooked to order, and scrumptious desserts of all sorts. The wife and I use the ferry to get out to Bald Head for quickie getaways, weekend jaunts by boat, and find this place to be not only convenient, but actually worthy of making it part of the trip. I'm including a copy of the menu and a few other photos for your convenience and I'd suggest pretty much anything, since these folks are locals, natives to the area, and cook like it. I've had pretty much a sampling of everything they offer, from desserts to pasta dishes, burgers and sandwiches, and one thing that you'll want to know about is that they'll actually prepare ahead dishes that you can Take N Bake over to the island with you, in case you're in a hurry to get to the island and want to have something on hand to throw into the oven at your rental. Those dishes are listed on the menu I've included, and feed about 6 big eaters or maybe 8 if you're watching the ol' waistline. Sit upstairs at the ferry landing in total comfort, air conditioning works wonderfully, restrooms are close by, and the help is genuinely friendly and caring. Great spot to grab a meal while waiting on your boat. Recommended.
Very lovely owners and staff, cheese cakes are delicious 😋
