A fun, steam punk themed tapas bar with amazing food. My wife and I went here recently on a weekend trip to Lake Tahoe, and it was an amazing experience. It was only our second tapas bar, so we were a little unsure what to expect, but we would not hesitate to go back. For those that are not familiar, at a tapas bar you order small plates of food that can be shared typically between 2 or 3 people, and you keep going until you're full. You get to experience a slower paced meal with as much variety as you like. We ended up ordering 6 or 7 plates and drinks a long the way. Everything was so delicious but the standouts were the Seafood Risotto, Ahi Ceviche, and Crispy Duck Tacos. They do have a seasonal rotating menu, so your options may vary when you go. We enjoyed live music while we ate and waited for the on site magic show. The magic show is extra and while it is entertaining, it's nothing amazing either, so you can take it or leave it.
This place was one of my faves. Service (Todd) was outstanding, and food was AMAZING. The whole menu is small bites and I want more of everything we ordered (the falet was my fave). Had a smoky bourbon drink that was also fantastic. Saw a magic show after which was really fun as well! Highly recommend
Fun Tapas style lounge bar. Wide variety of hot plates at a great price. Had deviled eggs, spinach salad, seafood risotto, filet mignon, and lamb chop. Salad was underdressed IMO, all other dishes delicious. Heard from others the pork fanny and buffalo tofu are amazing as well.
Went to The Loft for the 7PM magic show on a Thursday evening, just at the beginning of summer. Did NOT dine there. Guest magician Taylor Hughes was terrific. The little theatre within The Loft was cozy. However, unless you are seated in the first three rows, you don't really see the whole show down to their feet (unless the people/props are towards the back of the small stage. That did not hamper our enjoyment though.
We attended a magic show here. We hung out in the Loft before the show with drinks; we loved David Goldrake's performance and after we enjoyed listening to a live musician. The environment was relaxed, fun, and comfortable. They even had a Jenga game our kids enjoyed.
This was a very fun venue for cocktails and apps. We came for the food based on a recommendation and had a great time! The menu is mostly small plates so don't expect large portions. We ordered a variety. I would come back and maybe next time, also see a magic show!
We started with cocktails and had duck tacos, gnocchi, beets, brussel sprouts, ceviche, pesto fettuccine, chicken skewers and the hamburger. We enjoyed them all.
We attended the Halloween Bash last night, 10/31/23, and had a blast! It was our first time at The Loft and we had so much fun! Drinks were a little pricey, but maybe it's for the better, you won't buy too many and get in trouble. Event ended-up starting late due to a power outage. Staff was a little grumpy but understandable due to the circumstances. I suggest to management to "lighten-up" and go with the flow. Everyone was there to have a good time.
Delicious bites and warm, cozy, vibrant, chic atmosphere. The Imposters were playing and had some great music. I will say that while I know this is tapas...I could have used a little more volume on some of the dishes. It was delicious though. I personally especially liked the duck tacos. The magic act afterwards, in the theatre, was a fun ending to our evening.
This is a perfect spot - ambience, food, live music, drinks - everything was great. My personal favorite (being a vegetarian) was tangy tofu wings.
Pro tip: do try the butterfly effect drink !
The ambiance is perfect for a date night and the tapas are truly delicious. We really enjoyed this quaint restaurant, and recommend the smoke & mirrors cocktail! It is definitely on our revisit list.
