Lam Fong Yuen Chinese

If you are newer to the area and have given up trying to find actual NYC/Long Island/Queens/Down State Chinese Food you NEED to come to Lam Fong Yuen. I gave up on Chinese food in the Glens Falls area until tonight. Grease laden ‘spring rolls’ the size of a Tootsie Roll ... disgusting Lo Mein and Fried Rice soaked in soy sauce are the norm. This place basically just KILLS it. No nonsense, clean food cooked hot, fast and just the way all the best take out kitchens down state do it. Great Chinese take out lives in the North Country!

They always make my food and have it ready in 10 minutes. They seem friendly and polite, and more importantly everything that I’ve ordered tastes fresh and MSG delicious. The steamed dumplings are the best, and their Pork egg rolls are Better than anything I’ve had at other places. Decor is pretty basic, they have some green plants, and a couple chairs for sitting. Counters and walls are clean. It’s definitely worth checking out.

The order we placed was ready by the time we arrived....15 minutes, boom! They took excellent precautions in this COVID19 culture! I liked seeing the cooks behind the counter cooking food vs hidden behind a wall. The seafood delight was delicious! The vegetables were fresh, and the sea food was plentiful. The egg rolls were crisp and delicious! The dumplings were generous and flavorful. The only drawback is when I asked the name of the young lady who took my order over the phone (twice) after I gave my phone number and my name, she hung up. Not sure what was all about. No worries since the food was delish!
