Hands down, the best crispitos and fried chicken legs in town.
In my opinion, prices are a bit on the high side but that happens in every small town I've ever lived in.
The highlights of Pioneer Grocery are hands down Jerry, Kelly, Diana, and Marie. They treat me with so much warmth and respect.
If you live in Pacific County and you don't have many options for shopping, Pioneer Grocery had my recommendation.

Well-stocked and well-priced store. The best grocery store in town, honestly. They have wonderfully friendly employees and are comparable to a small Kroger’s or Ralph’s.
Daily specials can be found here. Produce and Bakery selections appeared ample and fresh. They have a fresh deli section where you can order hot food to go. Their Fresh Meat section carries excellent cuts of meat for great prices.
I loaded up on snacks for the road trip - Sun Chips, coconut water, jolly rangers, noosa yogurt, and baby bell cheese.
Plastic bags are given out for free. No restrooms.
Pioneer Grocery really shows effort in trying to give their customers a pleasant shopping experience. Their produce department is very welcoming and has a great variety! They have a knowledgeable meat department that is very accommodating! There is a deli with hot food, cold and fresh sandwiches and salads, desserts and a bakery. The staff is friendly and attentive! I prefer Pioneer to the other choices in my area.
Super friendly and helpful with local fresh oysters and everything you need to accompany them. On your way out check out the candy offerings at the teller stands and buy yourself some cow bot boot gum or other funny odd candy. The deli is also great and they have a smallish nice wine collection. This is truly a local spot and if you go early, before the rush of the day comes in, you can observe what it’s like to live in a small community.
Nice small town grocery store. Prices seemed pretty high, but prices are going up everywhere and I don't do our grocery shopping so they could be right in line with everyone else and I wouldn't know it.
A very nice little store in a gorgeous little town. They have enough of a good selection of items and products to cover whatever you might be needing.
The cashiers are very friendly. This store offers a good selection of produce.
Great corner grocery, a block from our motel. South Bend was a wonderful place to visit
