Parisi's Ristorante Italiano

I ordered a glass of wine but the waitress did not say that it could only be ordered by the bottle. I paid $85 for a bottle of wine I could have gotten for $20 at the liquor store across the street. Wish the staff would have been more direct and honest that when I said A GLASS, it would only be ordered by the bottle. Very sad I wasted that much money.

I had the Roustica. It was $20 and very good, although I would have liked more than 3 small pieces of tomato to break up the richness of the cheese sauce. Sadly hubby's veal parm was on the burnt side. We really should have asked them to re-do it, but he chose to to just eat it. The marinara has a very strong olive flavor. It's not like they were busy, we were the only customers inside. There were 2 parties outside in the bubbles. It's just when you pay $20 a plate you expect it to be yummy! Probably won't go back, but it wasn't awful The server was pleasant and attentive without hovering.

Made a reservation online for a very special birthday for our grandfather. I got a call the day of the reservation to see if there were any special accommodations that were needed. Also asked what kind of desert he would like in advance, to make it a smooth process. I thought wow! This is going to be great! (The lady Tracy was so nice on the phone, I was looking forward to dinner) Get to the restuarant, hostess was nice got us to our table. Wished gramps a happy birthday. Paper menus were not given with covid, grandparents dont have cell phones so we tried to help them. When we ordered we were told no salads bc of COVID. Totally bummed us all out. Hey it's the world we live in now, right? After we ordered we seen an elderly couple come in (much younger than my grandparents), whom were given paper menus. No biggie but I thought our server could have at least offered 1 to our elders. Then another server walks by with a SALAD. A full bowl of salad. I asked the other waitress, and shes like I'm sorry. Our waiter did not say anything and walked inside. Later he came back and said "well she wasn't supposed to use that lettuce". He never offered to get one, or apologize. He also didn't even know it was my grandfather's birthday. Even tho he had a party hat on. I preordered a cannoli on the phone earlier to be brought out, and the waiter said I don't know anything about that. I informed him I talked to Tracy and we were told he'd get one out for his bday. We won't have many more birthdays to spare with grandpa, and we just wanted him to feel special. Poor service with our waiter. Poor execution. Poor service. The hostess and Tracy were very nice (maybe they're the same person) but that's the only reason for 2 stars. Very disappointing.
