The Solvang Bakery

While in Solvang the danish capitol of the world, you have to try the danishes. So we tried a few here and loved pretty much everyone one of them. They were apt sweet and prefect crunch. The shop itself is pretty cute. Just a note, nothing bad though, Our coffee glass kept leaking and we did change it twice but it didn’t help but overall such a tasty experience.

This little bakery was adorable, and well priced. With a smaller selection of baked goods than some of the other bakery’s. But they had more variety of products. The staff was friendly and engaging. Willing to explain and patient as I made my selections. The butter ring was absolutely delicious. And I would highly recommend it. The prices seemed fair in comparison for quantity and good quality, but like many other places prices were not listed easily. And the baked goods are not labeled. This dose make way for getting to Ask questions and enjoy the experience. I would recommend you swing in! 10/10

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The pastries/baked goods in the case are impossible to see until it's time to order, but the staff was really patient with ordering. The bakery has European pastries and American pastries like cupcakes and cakes. I got a Sarah Bernhardt, kringle, and gingerbread cookie. The Sarah Bernhardt was fun and something different - it has an almond cookie base and it's topped with chocolate ganache and covered with chocolate. It was really tasty. The kringle and gingerbread cookie were good too. The gingerbread cookie is more soft than crunchy. This is a good stop in Solvang!

So if you go to Solvang the Apple Strudel is a must. Not just any bakery will do you must visit Solvang Bakery! I dealt with Crystal. I phoned a head to reserve my strudel (A MUST if you want to get one or more) and Crystal was VERY friendly and made a few other suggestions according to what was fresh in stock. I definitely picked up a few of her suggestions and only hope she answers the phone next time I call to place my order!!! I LOVE SOLVANG BAKERY AND CRYSTAL!
