Love this place. I tried this out because it's near Solana station. I was amazed that there's option for "no rice rolls" if you don't want to consume rice. I ordered a protein rolls and Sally roll. Both of them are delicious. I'll visit again and recommend my friends for sushi place.

Pretty disappointed with my dinner tonight. We're in town for vacation and the fam wanted sushi. I recommended Himitsu in La Jolla but they wanted to walk from the house and Station Sushi was the closer option. We got there early in order to get a good spot. There was only one guy waiting ahead of us. By the time they opened there were several parties waiting. We had already written out our orders and put them in as soon as we were seated, but I saw other tables receive their food before us. By the time the last person in our group received their food, some of us had already finished eating.
As for the sushi, it was all subpar. We paid $30 for two orders of uni that tasted like they were a little past it's expiration date. We legit worried about getting food poisoning. Nothing was that great but the better items were the mackerel and the Slippery When Wet roll. I've never paid so much for such disappointing sushi. I don't plan to ever come back.

The vibe was great, the location is perfect, all that was missing was the food. Station Sushi exemplifies the ongoing rot found in American sushi restaurants. Brightly colored rolls engorged with fake crab. However, I cannot hold this establishment responsible for an entire industries short comings. It is no secret (even to the waiters at Station Sushi) that the key to a great roll is smaller bites filled with real crab.
The rolls that we ordered might have been good if they weren’t over powered by the fishy taste of flour. If your looking for a decent teriyaki bowl with a great view of the surf liner station then I highly recommend Station Sushi.

This is our favorite sushi spot in San Diego. Incredible sushi and high quality fish. Avoid the ramen. Sometimes there is a wait but they do a good job managing the wait and moving tables. Service is excellent. Highly recommend!

DELICIOUS, fresh sushi! What a great spot. I was impressed by the large portion sizes too!

I have only ever eaten takeout, never dined in. But the food has been very consistently good, the sushi is fresh and tasty. It always seems to be busy, so if ordering to go, allow for extra time. It’s our fave sushi in SB.

Usually their food is decent but tonight they were at an all time low. Not only did they have extremely slow response & service (had to wait half an hour just to pick up my takeout order which was sitting right in front of me. Asked for basic acknowledgement but staff just kept walking by ignored me completely). Ordered a chicken teriyaki plate but got absolutely zero teriyaki sauce not a drop, basically paid $14 for plain tasteless grilled chicken rice & soggy veggies; so regret giving them a 15% tip.

I came here with my daughter & 3 of her friends for dinner on a Thursday just before 8 pm (they close at 9). I ordered a chicken teriyaki plate, the girls all ordered various sushi rolls. I received my hot food pretty quickly & it was mediocre. The chicken was a bit dry & barely any teriyaki sauce on it (I had to request more to be brought on the side). I also requested cucumber salad instead of vegetables & what I ended up with was a pile of cucumbers with no dressing or sesame seeds. I requested the dressing also be brought on the side & it had zero flavor. As for the sushi rolls ordered, one was the wrong roll, the others the girls said were really good but they came about 44 minutes after my meal. We saw others being served sushi rolls who were seated after us. We finished our food around the time they closed (at 9) & our server who had barely visited our table in the hour we were there came over & asked if we were ready for the check. She didn’t even ask if we wanted anything else. I understand it was closing time & people want to go home but I still think it’s polite to ask if there is anything else needed. Mediocre food, poor service. Won’t be coming back.
